Take Art and Politics. Amazing class will increase your exposure to really important literary theory. All of my best work was crafted under her watch. English majors will realize that they are doing really important work too by reading and analyzing these texts.

She is outstanding, incredible and an inspiration. She approaches her role with knowledge, passion, skill, energy, discipline and compassion. She teaches beyond the range of the subject to help students learn how to write; how to frame an argument; how to structure a paragraph, etc. These are necessary skills for successful lives.

Professor Reizbaum has a huge store of knowledge and passion that she shall inundate and exhaust you with. It is a wonderful experience to be within the confines of her studio- the classroom; it should not be missed by any student of literature and the arts at Bowdoin.

Comment:
Remarkable, supportive, caring professor. Really committed to challenging students' assumptions about literature and "being literary". Students tend to mistake her desire to make things more nuanced--her insistance that the world is infinitely more complex and conflict rarely resolvable into neat, clean endings--as "pompous". Too bad for them.

She's wonderful. Gave me big extension on paper. Passionate, really smart. As long as you're interested, or at least pretend to be, she's great. she looks scary, i think people tend to judge based on that. Loves theater.

It's incomprehensible to me how these people actually think that she's not brilliant. She is, and a great professor--and caring and helpful to boot.

One of the most pompous professors I have ever had, she is unclear about the points she makes in class, refuses to entertain others opinions and is outright rude and condescending. Turned me off to the English department.

Comment:
A bad faker at being an intellectual; "pseudo intellectual" is an accurate characterization. She - at best - TURNS ONE OFF from literature with her pretentious and actually insipid, meaningless themes. A lot of verbal waste...wait, this woman

The few complaints I've heard about her are always from the least articulate students in class. The ones who think she's not helpful can't be helped. Best English prof I've had.

The best prof. in the English department! Yes, she challenges you, but isn't that what we are at Bowdoin for? Take any class that she offers and you will actually learn something... opposed to regurgitating the same bs over and over again.
