Comment:
When my sister tells me mid-semeter that doctors she knows have failed his class, that gave me no hope to continue w/him. I'm just a COM student trying to get my B.S. requirements, this is not the class to take for that. Kimberlin is not mean, but it is impossible to do well w/him. Avoid him at all costs, your mental health will surely thank you.

He is in charge of all PHY107/8 sections. His portion of exams are actually impossible. I have never gotten a C in a class, and nearly failed every exam for 107/8. What he teaches on the exam and problems he assigns are not useful at all. Lecture is useless, only way to learn is through reading the books. He's the reason why bradley physic sucks

Kevin is a hilarious guy. His class is very challenging, to the point one kid had an A going into the final. I finished the class with a B, but he gave me an A due to my participation in class and my continuous trips to his office hours. Get to know him well and show you are willing to work hard and he will reward you. Great guy.

Kevin is a super nice guy. He cares a lot about Physics and loves to teach. The only issue in class was he usually teacher 3-400 level classes so teaching a little baby intro class, sometimes I think he'd forget we might not know as much as physics majors and would get a bit a head of himself. But he would always be able to back and re-explain it.

I took this class over summer and this was the hardest class I have ever taken. He goes extremely fast paced, does problems without detailed explanations, was unhelpful when I went to office hours as he acted same was as in class. I read the book and took my own notes outside of class on top of his & was still more lost in this class than any other

He goes through material really fast and if you're not a fast learner it's hard to keep up. He tends to sidetrack alot and will give complicated examples for things. Although he isn't a bad guy (he's really funny) it's just disappointing to work with his teaching methods.

THE WORST teacher ever. Cool guy, but being cool doesn't help in physics. Fly's through notes and tests are impossible. Learned more from Khan Academy in a half hour then listening to a weeks worth of his notes.

This was the most difficult class I've taken so far. I would absolutely not have passed if not for this guy. He makes lectures interesting and gives a lot of practical demonstrations for just about every concept he talks about. He's funny (you won't find that often in a physics professor) and is incredibly helpful when you need it. Knows his stuff.

Dr. K is very knowledgeable about physics and very passionate about teaching. The class is very difficult if you are not strong in math or physics. You may have to put in a lot of effort to get a good grade, but he is always willing to help, and he definitely knows what he's doing.

Dr. Kimberlin is a very smart guy. He knows a lot about what he is teaching, and does so at a very quick pace. If you're taking this class without prior physics knowledge, it will be very hard. If you try in the class, speak up if you have questions and show you have some interest, he will do all he can to help you get through the semester.

Really hard class but Kimberlin is very VERY helpful and always available and willing to take the time to explain problems. He gives opportunities to raise test grades because the average was D-F range. I feel I actually learned something in this class.

I really enjoyed Kimberlin. He is very knowledgable. I had him for the 8 am with 7:30 lab. He makes waking up early kind of enjoyable (WHAT AM I SAYING?! I HATE MORNINGS!) He is witty and if you get on his good side he will help you with anything. Just make jokes back. It's not too hard of a class, just makes sure you understand the material.

Unbelievably difficult. Unless you're a genius with the material you don't have a chance on the tests, which have no curve and you can't use notes of any kind. The class average on every test is failing. Test and quiz problems are nothing like homework. Avoid this class at all costs unless you want your GPA to take a big hit.

Kimberlin is hard. I worked myself to death just to pass this class. He chooses all of the most difficult, least discussed problems for homework and tests and grades them brutally. He seems nice enough but isn't really that helpful during office hours. I would definitely avoid him.

No business teaching this class...couldn't answer simple questions and exam questions were unsolvable in the alloted time. Also plays favorites with the grading.

Absolutely awful professor. Quizzes are extremely difficult and Tests are basically impossible. He knows his stuff, but sucks at teaching it to 1st timers. No formula cards or cheat sheets for for Exams.
