It's been a few years, but Bob was awesome for teaching biostats. I still use my class notes sometimes when trying to figure out some stats stuff. There's just too many students in the course who don't want to be there because they think they don't need to know stats to be a scientist - these students would be correctly classified as "eejits".

People should be hating on the class, not the professor. The entire course is about graphs and other things that don't seem to be very interesting, but Prof Montgomerie is a dynamic speaker and does his best to make the material interesting. If it weren't for him, the already poorly-attended lectures would be completely empty.

Nice but uninformative Prof! Didn't learn anything from this course. Easy midterm and exam. Very easy to get good marks but you have to learn it on your own. Don't bother going to lectures the Prof doesnt actually teach the course material.

Great prof, this may be the most useful second year course I take. He realizes what is actually important to teach, he doesn't bother teaching anything you won't remember or will never use. Also funny and the lectures are interesting. Gives exams that require thinking, but aren't hard.

This course sucked! What an awful course. The prof was terrible, the exams were terrible. Just another in a long list of awful profs and courses that arent taught well or prepare people for real science careers!

Actually cares about the class learning the major concepts, rather than meeting an 'acceptable' class average, or making the course difficult. He sees the big picture and tries to make stats down to earth. TAs marked pretty tough on assignments though.

Terrible course. Terrible midterm. Final wasn't too bad. Couldn't stand his lecture style. Examples didn't always relate to what was being taught. Lectures were sketchy. Richter needs to come back!

Who are you people with bad comments? What, you prefer straight memorization over actually understanding and applying the material? Bob - you rock!! Definitely one of my favorite Profs at Queen's! Keep up your funny, off-beat lecture style.
