Comment:
This professor ran through lecture would get offended if we didn't ask question because we didn't understand and also laugh at our questions. Changed his mind a lot on assignment and test. Didn't have a office hour and didn't want to stay after class. His teaching was based off his attitude he really didn't want to be there.

This man literally is a horrible teacher. He assigns homework that has nothing to do with the material in class and then goes forward and tests on the same material we didn't learn in the homework. Please save yourself the time and trouble by skipping this teacher.

Horrible lecturer. Tries too hard to relive his high school success. Unclear lecture notes, examples are too easy and do not represent actual homework problems, uncompromising in terms of grading, accuses students of cheating on the daily, and doesn't seem to be wholly interested in helping his students.

This professor allows you to have "cheat sheets" for his midterm and final. But he didn't seem interested teaching the material. He was unorganized and unclear. He doesn't consider the fact that some students have never taken physics before, and just jumps to a lot of example problems without even explaining the basis of physics in the first place.

Where do I start? Johnson is horrible professor. He admits it himself, he basically BS's. Try to avoid him as much as possible...wonder how he even got to teach at Davis. Criticizes his students and does not answer questions asked. Doesn't even have lecture notes! Very unorganized. Told class to take his CHEM class....everybody LAUGHED.

He doesn't know his own material, yet expects incredibly much out of students in his exams. Hates to be questioned, mainly because he doesn't have the answers.

Absolutely horrible. Avoid him as a teacher. Came late to midterm by 30 min, and we still took test. Didn't apologize. Insults students daily. Egotistial, and not funny. Tests have complicated calculations w/o calculator. BAD Experience.

He's a poor teacher. People taking him for 9D seem to like him more, but that's probably because 9D is more interesting and less difficult than other physics 9 courses.

Absolutely the worst professor I've ever had. Unfair tests, doesn't show up to class on time or apologize for it later, insults his students regularly, forced us to compute complicated numerical problems without calculators under time constraints.

Midterms weren't that bad except for him showing up late and not specifying which method he wants you to use to solve a problem. very professional. uses educated terms like thingamajig , doohickey , and stuff

Comment:
The tests take a lot to get used to and are often not representative of things done in class. The problems themselves are really straightforward, but there are often A LOT of them to do. I wouldn't recommend him.
