Took class online. He is a good lecturer. Going to class wasnt necessary mandatory because it was recorded, but its the only its the only way to learn the material. He also gave a huge easy extra credit assignment that you could only do if you went to class.

I have no idea how I passed his class. He closed my final on me and refused to let me take it again despite me having a very big life event around that time. I honestly think he just gave me a 70 because there is no way I passed with not finishing my final. Either way, it was entirely unnecessary and just plain rude. I would be cautious taking him.

Do. Not. Like. Him. At. All. Maybe hes a great professor in the classroom but online? Get ready to read your heart out with no assistance. He grades heavy and you have to put every name and date in the book and even when you do its not good enough. I wish I could go back and never take this class.

One of the nicest professors at RVC, but I will warn you about his online class since COVID. It's not like his usual in-person classes, he has all the homework and reading on a separate website this semester which is a bunch of weekly reading and quizzes and activities. There is one paper that is a final which is pointless but an easy A class.

History is normally my worst subject, but he made it so fun! I took two of his history classes and got A's in both because of his amazing lectures! He makes sure you're prepared for the midterm and final and lets you know exactly how to study for it. The best lectures I've had. Must show up to class.

Dr. Quirk always makes sure everyone in the class is following and understands the material. He is known for his great stories and although he gets off-topic at times, he's very knowledgable. If you're not happy with your grade at the end of the semester, don't be afraid to talk to him, he's flexible. 4 book reviews, a midterm, and a final.

Dr. Quirk is one of the best history teachers I've ever had. He connects wifh his students on another level and lectures didn't feel like an obligation because they were so entertaining. If you turn in assignments early he will grade them days early so you have a chance to resubmit. (Compared to other teachers who lesve assignments ungraded forever

Professor Quirk is an amazing teacher. His lectures are in-depth and provide you with all the information you need. There are very few assignments outside of class except for some book reports, but as long as you read you should be fine. This class was a great time and I would definitely take it again if only to be in his class. 10/10 amazing prof.

I took HST 142 with Quirk online in the summer, so there were 3-5 quizzes due every other day. They were open book, but you only had 10 mins to take them. He responded to emails quickly and was not a tough grader at all. He was super nice and clear on grading criteria. I don't have much else to say since I never really sat down and talked to him.

Although this class is still difficult, his main goal is to help you pass. He gives extra credit and is so nice to his students. He goes above and beyond by trying to connect to his students. He does have many book reports and tests are slightly difficult, but I always look forward to going to his class.

Professor Quirk is super understanding of student stress and tries to help out students as much as possible. He lectures in all classes but he makes it enjoyable. Biggest grades are Book Reviews and Mid-terms, finals. You will be fine if you put effort into those things.

BEST TEACHER EVER! He makes class so interesting because he is so passionate about what he is teaching. He is very personal and invested in getting to know his students. Hes hilarious and very knowledgeable. 4 easy papers and 2 exams that he gives you all the information youll need to know beforehand. Hands down one of the best teachers Ive had!

Basically, your grade is 4 book reviews and 2 tests that are pretty easy. The midterm and the final are memorization, not multiple choice, but really easy to memorize. Professor gets off topic a lot, which makes class fun. The videos he shows in class are pretty pointless. Fun class, but can be boring if you just want to take notes and leave.
