Dr. Prescott is a real gem. Taught alongside Dr. Katz and made this class really enjoyable. Often would have "Coffee Talks" and always relates to his students personally. Always available to help outside of class and really cares about what his students know and the grade their getting. He gives great feedback!

Amazing Teacher and person. Has funny jokes and actually relates to students. Cares deeply about people and if you are struggling in his class have no fear in talking to him. Lectures are important because its often what you need to write down in class what will be on the test rather than the textbook, but textbook is still used.

I took an honors seminar with Dr Prescott as my first honors class in my first semester here, and I loved it. He's passionate about what he teaches, and you can tell he cares about his students. He always left kind and thoughtful comments on my papers, which showed he cared about what I had to say. Definitely made me more confident as a writer!

10/10 LOVE Prescott. I would take him every semester if I could. He knows so much about everything, whether it be poets, music, movies, vacation spots... he's like a well of knowledge. He is always willing to help his students and cares deeply about the study of English. You will not be disappointed in taking him. Truly a phenomenal teacher.

I took an honors class with Dr. Prescott. He is a very funny guy, and kind of trippy. He says some of the most bizarre things, yet he's still very fun to listen to. The seminar I took changed how I look at happiness, employment, and the world. He is a very knowledgeable guy and encourages you to see him for any advice at all.

There's no professor quite like Dr. Prescott. He is genuinely interested in each individual student and gets excited about even the smallest things. If you ask for help, he will give it you tenfold. An amazing professor and an even more amazing person. He makes being an English major feel like the best decision you'll ever make in your life.

Personally, I struggled with Prescott. He's nice and funny and wants you to succeed but I had difficulty with the class itself. It's all poetry and for the exams you need to be very familiar with the poems, almost having them memorized. I also struggled because I didn't understand a lot of assignments therefore affecting my grade.

Great motivator!! Never had much confidence in writing and usually got much critisim on my writing. Professor Prescott gave feedback (a lot of it) but with clear direction, and he wouldn't accept anything less from me.

Very odd senior project, but it fits in with his desire to see English majors get jobs other than just teaching. Helpful, and will go to bat for you if you are having problems. He's a great guy all around. There was a pretty hefty workload in the class, but it was a senior project so it comes with the territory.

He's an awesome teacher. I liked both Prescott and Katz, but I thought Prescott was easier to understand. The tests do require a lot of studying, but they give you everything you need. Weekly essays aren't bad at all.
