This is a tough class, but Smith has an incredible way to make the material understandable. There is a lot of work to be done. He EXPECTS student to act like adults, better leave the cp alone too. I would take any class he teaches, period.

Moves at a steady pace, makes sure everyone understands the material, and is hilarious. He makes class less stressful than it normally would be, and gives opportunities to get extra credit as well.

Awesome teacher! Very funny and also very helpful. He stops to make sure that everyone's questions are answered and makes sure that everyone understands. He give ALOT of extra credit also. I would suggest everyone take his class

He is an awesome teacher! If you struggle in math he will help you and he teaches it well so its easy to understand. Gives lots of extra credit, and he is so funny. You will have homework but not much, it counts as extra credit too. He cares if you understand it or not.

If you show up for class and pay attention this guy will help you out. He dumbs down statistics so much that it because easy. he covers the basics very slowly and will take as much time as the class needs, which did tend to cram the end of the semester. But he gave a ton of extra credit opportunities and opened the lab up to help on the Capstone

If you go to class and pay attention you will do great. I had him in the spring of 2014 and finished with an A. He explains it and makes sure you understand. He even opened a computer lab for the Mini-tab project for his classes outside of class time. I would for sure take a course with him again.

SUPER nice guy but not who I would reccomend! He goes back on things he says and my entire class is barely passing a week before finals because he is very unorganized. He "forgot" about the learning curve/stats portal that is required & finally opened it up for us 2.5 weeks before it was due. Also crammed 8 chapters into final 3 days.

Smith is one of the best professors out there. He really cares for his students and will do anything for them. He makes the material very easy to understand. There's 3 tests and a final. The 3rd test is take home test. If you go to class and take notes, you will pass.

Math bores me, but this class definitely did not. I actually looked forward to going. D.C. Is extremely funny, and most definitely cares about his students. I was sad to see this class end.

If you're looking for a class that can keep your attention then this is the class. When DC starts seeing that you're bored he'll tell a funny story or crack a joke. He is also very loud and dramatic. It was very easy to learn until the last part of the semester. Maybe just because it was harder material. Either way he is always willing to help.

This guy was pretty easy at first. Then towards the end he tried to cram the last few chapters in like 1 week. He will sometimes make appointments with you and not show up and he has a hard time answering questions in a simple manner. He also tends to go back on what he tells you in class.

Professor Smith is seriously the best professor you can get for Prob & Stats. He improves his methods of teaching when he finds out something doesn't work so well in students learning the material. He is extremely willing to help students. He is also very, very funny. Never a dull day of class with that guy. It keeps it lively.

I am not a strong math student, but this man knows how to reach his students. AMAZING PROFESSOR. I would recommend him to anyone. My expectations for this class was to barely pass, and I just passed his class with an A. :D BEST PROFESSOR EVER!

This man is flat out amazing. I am the worst math student in the world, but he somehow knows how to reach everyone and make math interesting and easy. Great professor! There is no way that you cannot make a good grade in his class. He gives extra credit for Quizzes/HW and the study guides are like the tests. If you put in the time and do the work, you will benefit from it. Plus, he is quite funny and makes the class interesting!

This guy is THE best math teacher I've ever experienced. I returned to collge after 20 years and was nervous about remembering things, being in class, etc. Also, I was NEVER good in math. This guys personaltiy and teaching methods are like nothing I've ever seen in a classroom. He made understanding of concepts so easy, I made a 4.0 WOOHOO!
