Comment:
She teaches straight from her notes. The tests are straight from the homework. The homework is straight from the easy problems of any textbook. Do not expect much more than that. The upside: it's an easy A, if you do the homework. The downside: you will have to go deeper into the material (on your own) if you want real understanding.

It's rare that I like a teacher even though she's not very good. She's nice and organized and lenient, but she just copies her notes to the board for an hour and then copies some problems from the solutions manual. Most of physics is self taught so it's not a huge problem, and you will always know exactly what grade you have. A very reasonable amount of homework (though sometimes it's due on Saturdays. wtf).

Former mentor of mine. Ready to help when needed, offered a position in her laboratory to explore my interests, passionate about her research. A boon to the physics department.

TOTal idiot. Cannot teach a lick. She ought to be a kindergarden teacher. Does no examples in class, does no homework. I have to much to do other than teach myself a class she ought to be teaching. I recommend taking it in Fall 07 when she is not teaching it

Absolutely the worst teacher ever. She can't even do the homework she assigns to her students.

Doesn't help very much with homework questions. Can't solve a problem without the solutions manual and then belittles you when you don't figure it out for yourself.

Very feminist! If you're not a woman, she's got it in for you from the start. Classes are easy, but if you need help you'd best find someone else because she can't work the problems without the manual, and I would leave feeling more confused coming out!

Claims to have once worked for NASA but I think she was actually a kindergarten teacher. At least that's how she treats her classes.

VERY tough and not all that fair. (Required a seating chart in a class of 150+ students.) Talked down to students. But, she knows her stuff. Very smart.
