This Professor is horrible unless you are a STRAIGHT, WHITE, MALE. Comes to class with no mask in a pandemic, cannot read writing, does not upload to Bridges, takes a very long time to give back assignments, and grades essays for a LIT PHIL class like it's an ALGEBRA class. Have fun!! :)

Mumbles, Can't read handwriting on board for notes, no powerpoint. Besides this he is pretty nice. Doesn't care if you're late or don't show up. Likes class engagement. Very boring reading line up. Assigns papers with only 3 days to do them. Must print papers. Exams are impossible. Does not upload grades.

He is really tough but is insanley smart and a good guy. Super funny if you're intelligent enough to understand it. Really makes you think. Read what he assigns if you to if you have to sparknote it. Participation is super important he'll like you for participating even if you say something wrong. Pay attention. He also offers extra credit.

He's hard to understand, can't read his handwriting, doesn't give extra credit. You go to him for help and he doesn't help you very much. He lectures every single class about who knows what and it's so boring. All you take is tests.

Not only does he have the worst, most unintelligible hand writing I've ever seen he constantly speaks with a tiny voice that no one can understand. I don't understand why he lectures for so long about things he doesn't really know that much about. Very pretentious. Quizzes are random and can be on anything ever read in the class. Lots of reading.

Great guy, Great teacher. Tough quizzes and tests. Sometime difficult to understand. Although tough, one of the most respectable teachers on campus, do your readings and participate and you will be just fine.

This class is very hard. you wont pass if you don't do the readings. you read every night for homework. test are extremely hard. if you ask questions he doesn't answer because he wants you to think about it. the less you read, the more pop quizzes. i wouldn't recommend this class. I only got a passing grade because he knew i tried and participated.

Mike Wright is one of the best professors at Roger Williams. If you don't do well in his class it's because you're stupid and that's not his fault. His job is to teach students how to philosophize and this is difficult. If you want to learn he will teach you how but if you don't than do is philosophy students a favor and don't take the class.

Pop quizzes are frequent in the first half of the semester, and they remain the only grade for you for a while... so if you do poorly you will fail the class. Note taking is frequent and lectures put the class to sleep. Class was not interesting.

People who get bad grades are either asleep or never put anytime into thinking about the topics outside of class. His multiple choice questions can be confusing but overall he's a great teacher and a great guy. *Pop quizes are front heavy and then taper off, so just be ready for the first month and after that you'll be fine.

Great teacher. If you're willing to put in the effort (read the material, sit in the front, pay attention) the class is definitely passable and definitely enjoyable. You can tell he cares about what he's teaching. He might mumble, but what he says is gold.

He's really nice but is challenging. I can barely hear him, and it's hard to pay attention when the professor's voice is so monotone. he isn't in to class participation. In a lit/phil class, we should be participating more!

Well, many people complain about this guy, but you can overlook the terrible handwriting and the sometimes inaudible speech, because he is just an entertaining person. He is strangely funny, but in a sarcastic way, and a lot of people miss out in the class because they fall asleep. Just read the books and pay attention.
