If you are looking for a class with challenge then this is it. The labs are really easy but His test are really hard. Quizzes are easy. Some quiz questions will be on test and the final consists of half previous test. The textbook is not needed. I took him for bio 11 and physical science. DO ALL HIS EXTRA CREDIT, they are easy.

I dont know what you all are talking about. This year, the professor had made changes and none of my classmate and I are allowed to use pages of notes on the test. Although he is amazing, I think you guys tricked the new students lol

Not too hard. Can use 1 full page of notes for each chapter and all of them for exams and final. This is very helpful. Lots of extra credit which isn't very difficult. Lab work not too bad and fairly straight forward. Lectures portion can be missed, but make sure you know somebody to tell you any changes he makes or "pop quizzes" he warns you about

I took him for spring 2015. His lectures are boring. He grades by exams, quizzes and Labs. All the quizzes were take home(easy A). Weekly labs which were not bad at all,the only HW was to finish the labs. On the exams we could use one reference sheet per chapter which helped A LOT! This class is easy to pass. You don't need the access code for book

A lot of work and complicated lectures, but you can use a page of notes for each chapter plus all your homework assignments on exams. Professor Wise is a great and will help with whatever questions you have. He offered a lot of extra credit.

I signed up for what was advertised as an 'intro course for non-majors,' which is a joke b/c his lectures are best understood by people studying and interested in bio. Weekly labs and quizzes are worth nothing compared to the exam grades, even though you'll spend hours doing and completing labs. This class ruined my 4.0. I do not recommend it.

Professor Wise is such a nice man! He knows the field of microbiology very well and does help prepare his students for medical or biology related fields. I definitely recommend him as a great choice for micro! Micro itself is a hard class, so be prepared to do work and STUDY STUDY STUDY! Although notes are allowed on exams.

Professor Wise is very smart. He knows what he is talking about. He wants labs to be turned in neatly and perfectly (or close to perfect). He wants all papers to be 8.5x11 AT ALL TIMES! Lets students use notes during tests and quizzes!! Good luck!

A good guy just not a teacher. Bouts of impatient screaming at the top of his voice. Inconsistent giving directions & wastes time during lecture & lab rewriting or adding lecture notes/lab instructions; seems this should be done prior to class. LOTS of busy work. Does allow notes on tests and quizzes and allows extra credit. Good Luck!

Professor Wise is pretty cool. He lets you use all of your assignments and notecards on tests. Lab is mandatory if you want to pass. Your grade mostly is taken from exams and tests.. if you don't pay attention in class you won't do well. He is interesting though and tries to keep it fun. I'd reccommend him.

He's a great teacher, but sometimes get carried away with the science terms. :) I reccomend highly, but he gives lots of tests and quizes. He allows 1 5x8 notecard for each test/quiz. Learned a lot of interesting things. I'd take the class again, but it's not an easy A.

Good prof! just be ready for the exams and quizzes. You can use notes and photocipy all the pictures in your book. You can learn alot from labs. Very helpful and patient. He will stay up late and accompany u in lab if u need extra time on ur experiments. Just study and read ahead of time and u'll do great ^_~

really cool professor but be prepared to study hard and show up for every lab and lecture. very hard class! get a study group together i wouldnt have gotten a B if i didnt. get a tutor from the tutoring center on campus its free.

If you fully complete the labs and special assignments (even if the ?'s are wrong), he gives you full credit. Quizzes/Tests are difficult, but he lets you write down all of the notes you want on notecards to use on the tests. Case Study is easy; he will effectively answer any questions you have. The best part is, if you get 87% and above u get an A

He is an excellent professor who is always willing to clarify any questions you have. He is patient and really wants to students to understand the material. His exams are a little difficult, but if you stay on top of the assignments and really put effort into studying, you can't go wrong in his chemistry classes

Test are very hard.He lets you use note cards,but does'nt help much. Read chapter summary and briefly read through chapters, and his notes. He never asks questions on pages he lets you copy out of book. Be prepared to draw everything.

Very nice man, easy to follow and understand lecture & labs. Lots of HW & work to do in Chem 11. Physio was hard work- but can still do good if you study alot. His tests are hard, but you can use notecards. Do special assign. & any extra credit to pad your grade.
