Hw load is insane for a 2 unit class. She expects you to practice, read, and do hw every day. The canvas page is very disorganized and hard to find resources/hw. Your grade drops every time you show up 1min late. If you are looking for a fun easy 2 unit class, I suggest going elsewhere. This class is a lot of work for intro to yoga. Save ur time.

There were 26 students at the beginning of the season, but at the end of the season, we could only tolerate 4 people in the class, because we had to .In the online class, she drove almost all the students crazy. ultimately, she was one of the worst experiences of my educational life.

She requires too much for a 2 unit class. Would not recommend if you're taking yoga for fun, this is not the class. She can be mean at times and is strict on grading the assignments. You actually have to do a lot to get an A in this class.

She is passionate about teaching and takes pride in imparting knowledge to her students by giving them life's lessons. Attendance is extremely important to her -Attend every class and be on time and you will get a good grade. She gives you plenty of opportunites to make up missed classes, gives extra credit assignments and gives practice tests.

I enrolled in Stress Management. It is one of the best classes I ever had thanks to K. Milostan Egus. She is not only educated and knowledgeable but also took extra care for each one of the students. Egus classes are wonderful experience because it educate you to understand your body and live a healthy life style . Now for sure I am better man

Worst teacher ever! If you are taking this class for fun or because you like yoga, DONT TAKE IT WITH HER. She is rude and dismissive and will fail you if you are absent a few times. She is too hands-on and doesn't actually teach you the poses. She doesn't show you your grade until the very end and doesn't really care if you are failing or passing.

Very handsy, so if you're not into people touching you then maybe skip her. Also very knowledgable in Anatomy, so her Yoga is more about anatomical positions and doing whats easier for your body than doing a workout or any of the spiritual stuff. She loves talking and explaining things. Gives a lot of extra credit and is very patient. 8/10!

Save your GPA! Either take this class as P/NP or don't take it at all. If you miss 3 classes, you can't get a grade higher then a C. 2 classes? No higher then a B. She missed 3 classes & that's okay?! Late 1 minute? Counts as 1/3rd of a absence. Makes you pay to see a dance concert for 10% of your grade. She ask way too much for a 2 unit yoga class

Really improved, my pain went away! Gives loads of feedback and personal attention. Work ethic makes a difference. Gives lots of chances for extra credit/makeups.

she was very easy i got C's on all of my test and i was absent one time and i hardly took notes and still passed with a B she really cares about attendance though and being on time and she lets us take home all of our test so it was easy and lets you earn more points if you didn't do so well in one area just take notes and try not to miss any days

Awful. I gave everything to this teacher when she first came to IVC. She expected so much of me as her captain while giving nothing back. I was sick and failed to turn in my sheet showing the multitude amounts of rehearsal time I danced for her, with her, and because of that missing 1 sheet of paper she gave me an F. I have never forgotten.

I took this class because of my love of ballet and thought it would be fun and easy. I was wrong. Kathryn claims to care about her students and their health, but I have seen her make students do their performance quizzes with injuries on multiple occasions. She seems nice when you first meet her but it doesn't take long to see how awful she is.

I just wanted to dance. I took this class my first semester, and wish I would have known that I could have taken it for passno-pass. If you aren't a great dancer, you will be left behind. You MUST practice outside of class.

Don't take this class if you aren't a dancer major. Wonderful teacher and knows her stuff, but honestly has very high expectations. Super strict on attendance and the papers required for the dance concerts isnt long, but way too in depth. Not there to write, there for technique. Take this class for PNP because it's too much pressure for a grade.

Truly gifted teacher, her methods will change your life! ALL she asks is for the students to be willing to learn and have good work ethic. She is extremely knowledgeable - seriously knows EVERYTHING.Bad grades happen when people complain and refuse to communicate with her. This class is a lot of hard work and can be difficult for those new to ballet. You must attend class every time or see your grade suffer dramatically. Kathryn is good at what she does but she has high expectations (a good thing) but be sure you are willing to practice outside of class a lot to get better as exercises and teachings are super fast.
