I asked him for help to see what resources I could use to help me with his class. His answer was "I can't think of resources to help with the Mathematics of this class". Really!?! No professor has done this to me. Even the math Plaza, tutors, and my advisor couldn't help me. He doesn't care about you or your academic success.

He's a real firecracker, but in the top ten funniest people I've ever met in my life (intentional or not). His classes (especially Differential Equations) are immensely difficult, but so is life... he makes the comparison and you walk away a better person. Take him... but don't take him more than once if you care about your GPA.

A wonderful professor. He sets clear expectations and if you set out to make an A, you will. Homework is due every week, and you have a few tests, as you would any other class. I would totally take this again if need be, very nice professor!

I took professor Ossama for calculus online. He was unbelievably unhelpful. He took months to upload test grades and wouldn't even let me see the tests for feedback when I went to visit him in his office. This led me to constantly be stressing about my grade since I had no idea how I was performing in the class. Would not recommend!

Comment:

Professor Saleh is one of the hardest professors at UTC. To pass this class, you must practice every problem he shows in class and the ones on the practice exams. Make sure you know them because most of them are the ones on the actual exams. I'd say that if you struggle in math to avoid this professor. This class is hard but not impossible. STUDY!!

Oh Saleh. If you struggle with math, don't take him. He's a good lecturer, but he likes to yell a lot--at students, and just in general. He says things that are unintentionally hilarious. Grades are based on tests (usually curved), final (not cumulative), and bonus points. Go to class, take notes, and do the posted old exams, and you'll be fine.

He was one of the worst professors I have ever had. He made class miserable. I have received all As in college and 2 Bs and I barely passed his class with a C. Everyday, I dreaded going because he yelled at students, especially those who ask questions, therefore, I did not ask a single question all year. Terrible!

Uh this guy while a super smart is the single handed worse proffessor Ive ever had. You could not pay me to take his class again. Unless you have a bachlors degree and are just wishing to take the class again for fun you will struggle.

Pretty good professor, but you need a solid foundation in Algebra to take full advantage of his class. He doesn't throw "gotcha" questions at you on tests; just go to class, copy down what he writes on the board and understand it. May seem impatient, but it probably gets annoying answering the same stupid questions year after year.

The worst professor I've ever had. I haven't made a B since middle school, and he brought me pretty dang close. He is rude in class and patronizing on almost every answer he gives to in class questions. Linear algebra should've been a piece of cake, and instead I struggled with it more than Physics! Hellish tests, but a few bonus points and curves.

He give the examples in class and has practice tests posted on blackboard but he still somehow manages to make what should be an easy course difficult and confusing. He is often condescending and I would not suggest asking questions in class unless you want to be treated like a third grader. It is possible to do well, but he will not help you much.

Anyone who gives this guy a rating higher than awful is absolutely psychotic. Ask a question in class, he will drill you and grill you, sometimes to the point of ridicule, in front of everyone. Tells you whats gonna be "on the test" and includes almost none of it. Gives no partial credit. Incredibly difficult to follow and understand during lecture

First off, I'm sure he's a well intended man. He comes from Egypt and they, culturally, have higher expectations from their students; and he shows this. Extremely. I spent five hours a day doing his homework. I got points taken off for formatting that he had never discussed, nor taught: I.e. you will get points taken off if you put AD versus DA.

Yes this class is tough but Cal is tough for most people. I took this class in the summer and passed with a C+. Since we had a short time to get the information down we had a test every Friday. So I would visit his office twice a week to get certain concepts down. I am not the best in math but I got through it with his help. He is willing to help.

Not clear at all in the course. I literally understand nothing. If you can teach yourself math, he's the way to go. Does not clarify ANY concepts, only goes over one question and then expects you to understand the material. Tests are extremely difficult. Great guy, not so great teacher.

He gives you a study guide but the tests are nothing like it. I am an honors student and an engineering major and almost always had one of the highest grades on the tests and my test average was a 70. For the 2nd test our class average was a 58 and he only curved it to a 65. I will say he gives your final grade lots of help! DONT TALK IN CLASS!

He explains what he's talking about plenty but he skips steps and if you have a question he often answers it like you're stupid. He also seems to go about things a little differently than most people because I got help from several people (school tutors &friends who took calc) and they all were thrown off by things he did. tests are killer.
