Sanford is still one of my favorite professors at SVSU. He always brings energy to the class, and provides consistent and constructive feedback. Ive never taken an art class before him and he made the content easy to understand and helps you create work that can even be used in the future of your career. i cant recommend him enough.

Sanford is an amazing professor and really wants to see his students succeed with their future in Graphic Design. He gives good feedback when working on the projects in the class. He is an overall amazing teacher and would take his class again.

Sanford definitely makes you work for your grade! He is very particular on how work is done properly, which really helped me reach my full potential. Make sure you take this class with enough time outside of class to work on assignments. As long as you use a lot of his advice and show that you gave your best effort, he's not too hard on grading.

I loved this class! His critiques were super helpful on assignments if you are willing to take them. Some students thought that he was too hard on them but I made some great projects because he pushed my creative ability and I learned a lot. Would totally take another of his classes.

I loved this class. Sanford was really fun and helpful. If you don't show up to class you will lose a ton of points. He grades pretty easy, if you do what he asks. He is very, very helpful and wants you all to make great work. I would take him again if I could. He was one of my favorite professors so far.

Great professor! I came in with little art experience and low confidence but Sandord proved to me that I am capable and taught me so much! He is fun and you can can easily convince him to change up due dates. Hardly any tests and quizzes are given just projects. Highly suggest him. You'll enjoy going to class.

VERY smartknowledgeable and gives great feedback... But is a tough grader, doesn't answer emails, is very confusing at times, has a positively ABSURD attendance policy, and can be very disrespectful toward students. He expected a LOT but when it came to grading assignments, took his time. DON'T MISS CLASS! You'll lose an absolute TON of points.

He will make you work for your grade, but that's not a bad thing! I learned so much with Sanford. He'll come across as a hard-ass at first but he is extremely easy to work with and you can negotiate with him on due dates.

I really enjoyed his class. He knew what he wanted from his students and I respect him for that. Very nice to talk too and he gave you positive/negative feedback on your projects only to help you on future projects. All in all a great professor.

He is so hard to understand, doesn't read his e-mail, and you get blamed for not having something done right. He is all over the place. I will never take his class again or suggest anyone to take his class. For Delta College too!

Sanford is a handful. He's obnoxious and insists on controlling every aspect of your work. At the same time, you can't deny that he knows what he's talking about. He has a lot of experience. Overall, I would take him again despite his ridiculousness because if you do your work you will do perfectly fine in the class.

A great teacher and knows what he is talking about with real world expirence. He is sometimes a little unclear about specifics of what he wants from the projects however if you ask qestions he is more than willing to help you to better understand the project. He is a great guy and teacher as long as you are willing to do the work.
