Don will take you on more field trips, provide more experiential classes, and guarantee a more fortuitous freshman year experience than any other teacher at DU. Ignore all the haters - if you have the chance to join him on field quarter, do it. I probably learned more from Don then any other professor at DU. An A is guaranteed if you participate.

Don Sullivan is the absolute worst. He has the most convoluted way of teaching a class that really has no reason to be difficult. He has taught false information due to the fact that the material is 30 years old and he has seen no reason to update it despite it being pseudoscience. His research has been disproven and again he is the worst.

Reminds me of Santa Claus if Santa had a 28 year old wife and one year old daughter. Don is really nice, but his tangents go on forever and he talks a lot in general. He is the official teacher for the ESLLC, but Brianna actually does most of the work. Easy A, just try and pay attention when he talks.

Don is a snake do the ESLLC because it's the best LLC but have no expectations for this man. Brianna (the best human ever) teaches the course by herself and Don shows up maybe every other week. He's too busy with his wife thats younger than his kids to care about this class. He's also a backstabber and doesnt. respond. to. emails. SNAKE!

Don is such a great guy and adds in humor to keep the lectures interesting. However, the grade is based heavily on the midterm and final, which are very difficult and cover a lot of material. It was a very interesting, but difficult, class.

Don is an absolute gem; he is so passionate about what he teaches and truly wants to get to know all of his students and help them succeed. The grade for this honors class was made up of only 3 assignments (midterm, final, and labs), so don't take anything for granted. I learned a TON and am almost convinced to minor in geography because of him!

Don is awesome! He is very knowledgeable about a ton of things having to do with climate, geology, biology, etc. He goes off on tangents sometimes but his stories are interesting and usually relate back to the class in some way. He is also readily available to answer any questions outside of class. However you must attend lecture to pass the tests

The LLC is super awesome to be in but the class is only alright. Don is very intelligent and can spit a lot of knowledge but his lectures are usually tangents. I recommend his class to students who want to form personally relationships with their profs. Don also has unique opportunities for his students including lab work, retreats, etc.

Professor Sullivan is extremely knowledgable. He often gets off on tangents and it is easy to lose him during lectures. His tests are directly from lectures. He can be very funny and makes a dry subject interesting.

His sense of humor, storytelling, and fun labs (combined with generally more interesting material) made this quarter of Honors Geography many times better than the others. Cares about his students. Tests are pretty easy if you take good notes in lecture. The way he teaches biogeography is pleasantly "traditional," somehow. Enjoyed this class.

Professor Sullivan is a nice guy and an ok teacher. He doesn't post any of his power points online which was very inconvenient for studying. His tests are super hard but the topics are relatively interesting.

Prof Sullivan is awesome! He made learning about biogeography interesting and fun. Our labs were awesome; we got to go to botanical garden's rainforest conservatory, etc. He had great stories, pics, etc that helped you remember info. I was nervous because 1st quarter honors NATS was awful but he was UH-MAZING! :] Sooo funny and just overall jolly!

I really enjoyed Prof Sullivan's lectures, and thought they were understandable. I wasn't too happy with a few of the labs because I felt that I was learning completely new stuff, that didn't supplement the course material like labs are intended to. Go to Friday lecture, b/c he gives quizzes then, and you can lose a lot of points that way.
