I cannot say if Dr. Zentler is a great teacher in person; I can definitely say he is not a good teacher online. Each week he crams 2-4 work assignments into a week and doesn't do online lectures. He also just posts pages from a textbook that are unrelated to the work you do within the week. It's essentially the laziest teaching I've ever seen.

Great guy. your grade is only 3 exams but he gives a ton of extra credit chances. First two exams are easy A's if you study but last one is a little tough. Easy A if you study the notes and he does good reviews before exams. Also plays a bit of music before class :)

Pretty easy A if you are willing to study and show up to class. Not a lot of grades but its still easily an A. Gives test questions out before exams and is very clear on how to pass. There was also bonus which helped a lot! Id recommend taking him for easy credit in a comm major.

Great guy, very easy to laugh at, easy class. You only take 3 tests, he gives alot of extra credit. TAKE ADVANTAGE, this is the easiest A you will ever get!

Really enjoyable class and fair professor. I liked the content that Dr. Zeltner shared, and appreciated his feedback and responsiveness to any questions I had on the material. The tests were difficult, but not impossible. There were a lot of assignments, but I didn't find them difficult, just time-consuming. I would recommend this professor.

He is the Goat. He is hilarious. I had him for NMJ and Mass Media and Society. Take him at all costs. Yo don't need to buy the book. Easy going guy. As i've said, GOAT.

The projects aren't hard but will push you out of your comfort zone. Some of the resources we're supposed to use don't always work well, so it can be frustrating. Zeltner is very funny. Explains clearly what he expects of you. Wish more was taught about being a better writer. Will take points off for your writing but won't say what he didn't like.

I loved his Mass Media class. He always plays music before class starts, which is kind quirky. His class is a boring class (and he knows that) but he makes it fun. Everything on his presentations he posts on D2L and nothing unexpected goes on the exams. Easy A.

One of my favorite professors. He did his best to make a boring class fun, and succeeded most of the time. He's a great guy and really funny (throws lots of shade). Grades are rough, because there are only three exams, but if you pay attention and attend class, you'll be fine.

Very boring class but he tries to make it interesting. I love professor zeltner as a person but his class was rough. The tests were very difficult because you have to memorize so many different names of people who did boring things no one cares about! I definitely underestimated this class

Dr. Zeltner's Mass Media & Society can defintely be a snooze-fest, but he tries his best to make it interesting. Your only grades are 3 tests, non-comprehensive. Don't let that scare you, if you go over the Prezi Presentations he posts, and read the book, you'll be fine. As he says, "it's not rocket science."

Dr. Zeltner is the best! This class was one of my favorite classes. There are only three tests, but as long as you're showing up to class, paying attention, and reviewing the Prezi slides before a test, you've got yourself an A. He gives great lectures. EVERY class was interesting. Don't buy the textbook, you can get an A without it.

there were only three tests. No assignments. Attendance did not count to help you, only to hurt you if you miss more than 3 classes. Reading is ESSENTIAL to passing, and in my opinion the tests were not even close to easy

New-Media Journalism is a really fun class where the environment is very laid back! In this class there is typically 10 students, so you really get a lot of 1 on 1 with Zeltner if you need it! You only have to do one project a week and he makes you present them in front of the class, it isn't bad at all :)

Overall, he's not too bad to take for Public Speaking. He is easy-going so it's easier to speak in front of him. He gives you feedback and you also get feedback from your classmates. He really tries to help you become a better speaker and I think he grades pretty fairly. Not easy, but it's a helpful class.

This class was so much fun. Dr. Zeltner is an awesome professor. He has a lot of energy and he's a really cool guy. If you study the powerpoints before an exam, you will do great in the course. I loved this class, and I'll be taking Dr. Zeltner as many times as I can before I graduate.

You have to do pretty darn good to receive an A on your speeches. I only received one and the rest were B's, which I did not agree with. I had amazing eye contact and would barely use notes as I gave my speech, while other people would sit there and practically read off their paper the whole time. Made me wonder what their grades were...

I thought that this class would be more current topics, but its actually a lot of history about the media. Only three tests, so study the powerpoints he gives you and know the names of people and what they did. Docks you a letter grade if you miss three classes. Likes to play music and talk about current events at the beginning of each class.
