I had him for online public speaking. There are 16 chapter quizzes you need to complete to pass the course along with 3 speeches. No deadlines but DO NOT procrastinate because the speeches take time to complete. Dr Chase responded to emails promptly and was very helpful. Get the quizzes done in 1 week to allow yourself ample time for the speeches.

Never take online public speaking with this professor. You will be graded off the first speech so If he decides he doesn't like you then good luck with the rest of the speeches. His point system makes no sense and will take points off in random areas just to give you the grade he thinks you deserve, which will be no more than a C. Awful teacher!

Currently have him for Pub Production 2. He makes it more difficult than it has to be. This is a PUBLICATION course and yet we're assigned a 5 page research paper and a 15 minute presentation. If I wanted to have to write speeches and papers I'd go back to public speaking or professional presentation. Come on Chase, give us a break.

Dr. Chase gave me false information, by telling me there would be one chapter exam per week, but really he assigned five. I was very disappointed with him, and the class overall. It is really sad that he is the head of the department.

Mark Chase assigned 5 tests a week in his online class. The questions are straight from the book and hard to remember. This class was awful dont take it. He is not hot he looks weird im glad i never had to see him in person

He wasn't helpful at all, one of my friends got a higher grade than me and turned in every speech late... it isn't right that I bust my butt and he gives everyone else the easy way out. he came across as rude in his emails, and I do public speaking for a living and got a C! BOGUS.

The prof didn't care about his students, he only is worried about the pay check. Avoid him at all cost. Its his way or the highway and he has no care for anyone who has a problem or issue during his class. Worst professor I've ever had, never take his class.

Do not take him for online classes. Public speaking online is different because you have to record yourself. You have 3 presentations and have to do it infront of 10 adults. He gives you a lot of work in a short amount of time and when you ask questions he only responds with one or two word answers. But I still got a B doing the minimum.

Very knowledgeable professor. Really knows the stuff that he's teaching on and can relay that information well. Make sure to study for the midterm and the final and start your projects early instead of the day before and you'll do fine.

I love this guy. He's funny and very interesting and actually helped me decide on what I am going to do with my life from this class. The project work is easy, just listen to instructions and youre golden. He likes public speaking - talk about a publication 3 times a semester. Only 2 tests, but are hard and all written, but not long. Just study = A

Great professor. Very easy to get along with and is very knowledgable. Speech assigments are not too difficult and he will help you out if needed. Tests are common sense. It's not an "easy A" but definately a great class!

Easy going teacher. Didn't do much in the class except crossword puzzles. He's pretty cute though. Speeches were a little challenging but he gives you a break every once in awhile. 2 tests were easy. mostly common sense
