Easy class, especially for your math requisite. Prof. Jacobson breaks everything down and moves at a glacial pace - beneficial for students! Teaches directly from the book. No surprises. DO YOUR HOMEWORK and you'll be fine for exams. Open note everything.

Doesn't break down problems just rushes thru them without an explanation that is understandable and so I have to pay someone else to teach me the class because hes not teaching the students so we learn. Everyone is failing and I don't even know why I come to class because I feel incredibly lost and I would not recommend him!

Lectures are a snore. Class is not difficult with strong attendance. Test are open notes but not simple. Moves, talks, operates at a very slow pace. Overall good teacher and cares for students.

He's an easy grader, and the tests aren't too bad, but the lectures are unlistenable. Constant digressions, jumps back and forth between problems, and he seems to have trouble keeping track of what he's doing. He's a very nice man, but if attendance wasn't mandatory, I wouldn't go except on test days. I teach the material to myself, essentially.

horrible professor! his lectures are boring..he can talk all day if he wants to. the exams are tricky but theyre open notes. dont fall behind. or youll fail. he only has 3 exams and a project so exams are a HUGE part of your grade. dont miss classes, he'll talke points out of your grade

Took him for Micro. Subject is dry, he isn't bad though. It was relatively easy if you did your work and read the book. Don't expect an easy grade. You earn the grade in his class. The only thing that pissed me off is that he'd make us watch MSNBC after he stopped lecturing, to completely fulfill the 3 hour mark. I'd take him again.

I really liked Professor Jacoboson, I took micro and macro with him -- both night classes. He lets you use your notes on his tests, so if you study the chapters and take thorough notes you'll do well in his class. Homework every week, and one project notebook assignment. I thought he breaks up the 3 hour long class well. I recommend him!

My take on this professor is that he wants you to submit work on your terms, not his. Exams were a bit confusing, but well within class and home-work assigned to do. He's like an no-nonsense a.d.v.a.n.c.e.d. swimming instructor, i.e., you know what the water's like, so it's time for you to try it on your own.

He can move a little fast sometimes but is very understanding when it comes to tests and students. He used to work in the business so has alot of 'real-world' experience using statistics. Good teacher all around.
