I took her online survey a/p class with an online lab and was worried I wouldn't have enough access with her. She answers quickly outside of class and is easygoing when it comes to grading. she understands that life goes crazy sometimes. her lectures are also interesting and she is very intelligent. definitely taking her class again

Dr LaRocca was a breath of fresh air during a very tough semester. Her lectures were interesting and she was very clear about exactly what would be on the tests. If I could wait until fall, I would absolutely choose her for A/P II! Im so glad to have gotten her for A/P I, and would highly recommend her to anyone.

Took her class spring of 19. First off, the criteria you need to study for on her exams are crystal clear. She tells you what she wants and is clear about what you need to study for. Shes very knowledgeable and was very fair in her grading. Enjoyed her class. Shes a cool lady!

She gives very good, engaging lectures with added humor to keep you attentive. Her tests are straight to the point and she focuses on complete concepts rather than minute details. Great and inspiring professor! One of my favorites

Larocca is a great teacher whom knows her stuff. Her lectures generally stick to the power points which generally follow the book. Quizzes and tests where clearly posted and she was pretty good at letting you know what was on them. If you need help she is down in her office or in tutor room and is pretty good at helping if she isn't in a class.

I have taken both A&P courses with her and I wish she taught other classes that I need. She is relevant, kind, smart, patient and well prepared. She give exam reviews and that is exactly what is on the exam. She doesn't play "stump the student!"

So much harder than her AP1 class which I got an A in. So much more material that we don't even cover it all. She reads from her power points directly so I do not know why she posts podcasts of something she spends no extra time explaining. And you definitely don't want to get that look if you interrupt for a question (cause she's podcasting).

Professor Larocca is very fair and knowledgeable. There is a lot of material to cover in A&PI but she does a great job. Very clear lectures. The tests are long but always multiple choice, true or false, with very few fill-in the blanks. I would definitely take her again.

Definitely listen to the podcasts, use the power point notes and take pics and videos of lab if you want to get an A. Professor Larocca is a great teacher. She sticks to the book, utilizes the figures to your advantage & tests are fair. I spent considerable time with the material, listened to the podcasts multiple time and it paid off.

Professor LaRocca is very helpful and more than fair. If you read the syllabus, do the reading and attend the labs you will succeed. She presents the material clearly, provides study guides and goes over the test materials prior to the exams so you do know what to expect. She made science interesting. You do have to do the work!

This professor is very funny and makes the class go by fast. She's very clear in what she wants and what she expects. There's not a lot of tests but she constantly gives take home quizzes and she tells you exactly what's going to be on the lab tests. If you study and pay attention to class you'll do very good. She's a great and good professor!

I am not a Bio person, but I would take her class again. The summer session is the best time too. On line lecture only has two posting. The lab was very easy and the quizzes were on the lab worksheets. No homework was required and only a 4-6 pg research paper was due. 3 extra credits too.

She is very clear about what she expects from her students and she is also very fair! She tries to make her lectures as interesting and funny as possible. By far my favorite professor at the college. She isn't the easiest, you have to study for the exams, they cover a lot of material. But if you attend class and study, you will pass.

She is very helpful and clear on her expectations. As long as you pay attention you will do fine. However, you definitely need to study for the tests, just because they cover a lot of material. The only complaint I have is that she does not post grades on moodle.

I took this course with this professor because she seemed to have the best ratings and was well-liked. However, she ended up being one of the rudest professors I have ever met and showed no effort to help you when asked. Maybe she's just over teaching by now but I'm glad I won't have to take another course with her. As far as exams- study hard!

She was wonderful!! Very clear on what to study- gives 3 take home quizzes, and 3 exams. She puts study guides up on moodle for every chapter. Lab she is wonderful, also. It is mandatory to show up for lab. She wants her students to do well & it shows.

Wonderful A&P professor! She explains the material well. She gives 3 take home quizzes and 3 exams. She records her lectures and posts them on moodle and does an exam review along with study guides on specific things to study. Hard class with alot of info, but great, funny teacher!

Totally recommend her. She gives two big tests, three take home quizzes, and then a final. I last minute studied for my first test so I failed it, but she told me a B would be possible if I did well there on out and so i did and got a B. She puts all her notes and study guides on moodle so if you really study those you can't do bad on a test.

she doesn,t offer guidance about what to focus on for exams. you have to know everything she covers. there's no purpose attending class since she reads word for word from the lecture notes posted on moodle. she focuses too much on the nervous system since it's her doctorate. i agree with that this forces her to rush through other topics.
