At times, Professor McCullough was rude and very disrespectful without cause. Personally speaking his course was not hard, but having to put up with his arrogance was a bit much. His test are hard.

Professor McCullough was the best professor I've ever had. I hadn't a clue about philosophy before I took it class. Once I took it the drive I know have for the subject follows me in a mental hum that remains constant in my life. Any human being willing to open up their mind and the concepts will benefit from the class.

GPA killer for sure. I would advise you not to take this course with Dan or at CCCC. Is a great person and the lectures are interesting but the tests are insanely difficult. He says there are no tricks. But he's very tricky. He also will make you look foolish if you ask a question. Teaches from his own book too. 10 students left, started with 23.

Take his existentialism class. It will change your life. No tricks. I know it changed mine. Best teacher I have ever had. My only regret is that I was unable to take up every class he teaches.

I moved on to bigger universities and got my bachelors in philosophy. This teacher was the greatest teacher I have ever had. He was a great human being as well. The things I learned in his classes still find their way into my daily life now, and I thank him for it. The closest person to a modern prophet I have ever met. Take this man's classes

Professor McCullough is a very passionate professor and cares for his students. A bit eccentric, which is a nice change of pace. If you read the material multiple times and ask questions you'll do well, but you must embrace the concepts! He wants you to succeed!

I took this class as a high school student and I am so glad I did. I don't see any other professor at any other school teaching as well as he did. He is hilarious, innovative, but most importantly a freaking genius. His exams are a little tricky, but do the readings (they're easy and also hilarious) and this will easily be your favourite class.

I wasn't very interested in the Eastern religion class I took. With that all said, If you do take his class you will be surprised by how he teaches his students. He will open doors in your head that you never knew existed. He is very interested as a person, and very funny. I liked him a lot, he is the most unique person I have ever known.

I'm taking my 4th class with him next semester. He's amazing. All grades are based on test scores, 4-5 per semester. If you're not a good test-taker, you may have a hard time. But if you loathe busy-work as much as I do, Dan's your guy. Hands down THE BEST professor I've ever had.

He's an inspiring teacher. His methods are not always traditional but if you are attentive you will not only learn, you will understand. It is through this understanding that a humbled perspective can be gained. He enables you to think outside/inside the box,its mass and position.Ultimately questioning if the box is a box and what is a box really?

Very caring teacher. He has the best stories I have ever heard. Take notes with dates, your final paper will need quotes from his lectures. You'll want to listen to him so class will be interesting. His tests are hard only if you don't study your notes. He will mostly likely give you an interest in Philosophy for life. Ask him about the elephant.

The person commenting about tests being unfair - his tests are /very/ short, so if you don't know some of the material, you WILL lose a lot of points. You must know what you are doing. They are all out of 25, so a loss of one point on the test is a loss of four for the total grade out of 100. I've also never known him to favor students in ANY way.

A GREAT PROFESSOR! His class is interesting and he teaches in such a way that you can easily follow along. However, if you get stuck, he will more than gladly help guide you on the right direction. In class participation is a big part, but it's actually a class you WANT to participate in. IF you don't attend class, you'll miss out big however.

McCullough is the man. Eastern religions and intro to philosophy have been two of my absolute favourite classes. His classes can be pretty hard, but I can guarantee you'll have fun. Ask about the elephant theft.
