Professor Kershner is an excellent teacher. He gives lots of homework, however when you finish his class there is no doubt you walk away with a first class education. Very accessible outside of class, and wants you to exceed.

Comment:
P. Kershner tends to be a bit narcissistic and critical. His attendance policy is awful. He made is clear on the first day that he didn't care if we were in the hospital, we were meant to be in class. That was all well in good, until I ended up in the hospital for stitches. Lectures are video heavy and that tends to become boring quickly.

Professor Kershner is a great inspiring teacher! I have learned so much in his class. He likes to be real and he gives personal examples to create an environment that makes learning fun and easy to understand. He is encouraging and is free to meet anytime if you have questions about anything. I would definitely recommend any of his classes.

Professor Kershner is a perfectly good teacher, just not the right fit for everybody. While his class was relaxed and laid back, his criticism of modern culture was too pretentious for my liking. The man is incredibly opinionated and yet very kind and caring. He knows good writing when he see's it.

He is the most easy going guy you'll ever meet. He is way more chill then most professors. He assigns easy assignments. Expect to do a lot of journal entries about anything. There are several textbook quizzes but they do not require hard amounts of studying. The final is just to write a five paragraph essay. Shows inspirational Youtube videos.

Enjoy his style of teaching very much. He is very nice, funny and cares about you. As long as you do the reading for quizzes and do his essays. You'll do great. But sometimes I feel like I'm taking a high school class but thats ok. Take Mass Communication and you'll have a good time. I also love the videos and stories he has to tell.

This guy cares deeply about his students and it's almost impossible to fail any of his classes, as long as you do the work. And the work isn't much. Instead of having his students memorize a bunch of unnecessary things, he instead focuses on real-life examples pertaining to his course material, which I found very refreshing. Highly recommended.

Compassionate, caring, and entertaining, Prof. Kershner is such a joy to be around. He always makes class fun! Incredibly organized and simple class (I mean it's called stess busters for a reason...) Mr. K gets students involved in things like meditations and haiku hikes. Very cool experience. Take this class, you will not regret it!

I adore Prof. Kershner. He puts a lot of passion and enthusiasm into his teaching. VERY ORGANIZED! He assigns essays and quizzes weekly but it's all completely manageable. Do the work and you'll pass. He tries to help students and is always approachable. Teaches you stress relievers and meditation techniques. If you're stressed out, take his class!

He's so awesome. It was such an easy class. I finally got an A in an English class. I quickly threw together a bunch of random nonsense on all the writing assignments, and got A's on all of them. I got a 99 on a 1500 word research paper that I threw together 3 hours. I loved always getting to leave class early. This is an awesome class to take.

The last few posts are ridiculous. Of course you get a better grade for helping with the school paper its part of the class and he tells you that the first day. He will work with you if you can't do a specific paper related job. Do the reading pass quizzes and turn in a news story each week and you will easily pass.

worst teacher ever, his class taught nothing about modern journalism, he favors students who he liked and disliked any student whom was a part of any club but the mainsheet. he taught me nothing i didn't learned in high school. in fact in two full semesters of college level journalism i leaned a 100 times less then i did in a week in my highschool

Comment:
Self-interested. Preference for those working for students in the Mainsheet. Doesn't like anyone in the Student Senate. Talks trash about students' personal lives in class- very inappropriate. You'll get by fine if you laugh at his jokes and stroke his ego.
