Comment:
One of the hardest classes I've ever had to take. This professor expects you to participate in discussions every single day. Unrealistic. Test every 2 weeks and does give you the option to take the test at least 2 times. However, the discussions are insane. you need to write 10 sentences or else it's not worth grading. DO NOT recommend.

Only take this class if you are truly interested in Philosophy. Gives out a lot of reading to do. Gives tests every two weeks or so. Class discussions definitely matter and you must participate mostly everyday.

Prof. C isn't bad, but the class...I don't recommend taking online IF you don't have time on your hands. There are only discussions & tests; 1 per week. There are multiple discussion topics and you have to answer 2 minimum w/ 10+ sentences to pass. Powerpoints & typed notes are provided but lengthy. I work 2 jobs, didn't have much time, so I failed

Worst Professor I have ever had. Rude and inconsiderate. Expects you to be on discussion posts daily and its unrealistic.

Literally horrible... I completed all the work he asked but with slight mistakes. For example I didn't post a 2 discussion posts in 2 different weeks. I have a life too and other classes to handle. For the final paper I got a high score (B) but because I didn't double space between paragraphs, spacing between title and paragraph I got an F.

If your ready to put 20 plus hours a week go for it. The hardest required gen ed course you could possibly take could have taken another professor and done half the work and get twice the grade.

This is a religion class that doesnt even focus on religion. My main concern was to learn about other religions. This course is mostly philosophy which I have 0 interest in. Professor is actually rude, not helpful at all. He kept giving me 60/100 on discussions simply because I didnt spend 2 different weeks on it. Very useless doctor shameful.

Took this class to learn more about other religions and the people in them. He wants you to be too dedicated to every religion your learning about. Wants too many discussion posts and gives no direction just topics and too many things to read. Tough grader with discussion posts if not writing basically essays! Extremely hard quizzes! DO NOT TAKE!

Prof. Cronk is a fair teacher. In order to succeed in his class you must participate. His assignments are creative and really allows for hands on experience. He is a tough grader, but he does want his students to succeed. Prof. Cronk is very approachable by both email and telephone. He responds quickly and cares about his students.

Prof. Cronk was great. Took him for an online religion of the world class. He was extremely clear about what was expected of you - literally told you exactly what you needed to do, how to do it, and when to do it - in order to get a good grade. He also responds to emails quickly and seems to genuinely care about his class.

He is a tough grader and makes you work hard. Do not fall behind and log in daily to post as this is rewarded. It was an on-line course and I would take a class with him again but be prepared to work as this is not an easy A.

Professor Cronk offers students a chance to actually learn about Philosophy. This was not in any way an easy class, but if you work hard you will get a good grade. He offers many ways to reach out to him if you have any questions or anything is unclear, which was great for an online class. Overall wonderful professor.

professor cronk was awesome. his tests were a little tricky but as long as you participate in the discussion and do the readings you should do fine. I got an A however, I did do the reading and I did participate in the discussions at least once a day. Definitely recommend him!

Did not like him what so ever. Bi weekly discussions where if you don't post more than 20 times, you'll get a bad grade. He responds to students with his sarcastic attitude and makes you feel like your thoughts and opinions are done. layout of the class was horrible. Would not take again ever

Prof Cronk is just OK. i wouldn't recommend him. i took this class on line, boring. Its almost impossible for him to like anything that you do. Also- bad at answering e-mails which is not great for an online class. Takes forever to grade things

Professor Cronk is one of the best teachers at Bergen Community College and I highly recommend taking him. The course material was interesting, the online discussions were engaging, and the tests and papers given were very straightforward. From the get-go, the grading rubric is made very clear and entails specifics of what it takes to earn an A
