She is very passionate and great at explaining and lecturing, but she is incredibly specific as to what she wants and sitting in lecture can be tough because it's tedious.

This was a very easy math class, but she was a difficult professor to work with. Her teaching style is like a high school teacher. She takes forever to go over examples and assignments. Participation MATTERS. She won't move onto to the next thing until the class/student answers. The homework was repetitive and a lot.

Teaching style works well for K-12 teachers. Class goes significantly faster if everybody participates. Picky about word choice. Slow to return homework/tests. Homework graded on following directions (put your name in the right spot!) Sometimes you can lobby for more points on exams. Class requires purchase of Geometer's Sketchpad software.

Dr. K is the professor that made me love math! I would recommend her to everyone! She moves at a nice pace and is always there for people to ask questions. She even passes out candy on tests days. Her grading is on an easier scale an 88% is an A.

You never get homework back. He got a huge stack at the end that we just got credit for turning in. It would have helped on test to know how we were doing on homework. I was a student that was in her office at last once a week and it was helpful but shouldn't have been necessary.This class was very frustrating and I'm an honors student/not lazy.

Dr. K is not the professor to take. She doesn't return hw and tests take forever to get back. Getting hw back would make a big difference on test scores. She's an extremely hard grader. Extremely picky. The class lectures just go on and on and you come out with no new knowledge. I went in loving math...I didn't feel the same way by week 2.

I wish there were a book called Teaching for Dummies. This teacher really needs to read that book. She needs basics 101. Writing a ton of books and being an honor student can't justify the fact that she is such a horrible teacher.

It takes her forever to grade the tests. She's a very picky grader. She's always grumpy :-(. Her smile hides her true colors. She will yell at you like you're nobody. If you buy things to make her happy, she'll love you. You don't learn anything from her. She repeats things. A guy in my class got mad because we wasted money on the text.

This teacher was very boring. She yelled at the class, and told us to "get out of the class" when a student asked a question about a test. She seemed more interested in some students over others, and was a difficult grader. The only thing I liked about the class was the candy she passed out on test days.

Dr. K is one of the best math professors I have ever taken. She made class enjoyable and her repetitiveness helped the concepts stick and make sense. She was always willing to help and extremely nice. However, she was very slow in grading and returning assignments. Overall, she is fantastic! TAKE HER! :)

Love her! Had her for college geometry and number theory and thought it was awesome. She teaches math with a different approach, but when you understand what she is getting at, you really understand the subject. she is a picky grader but a very nice person and loves teaching!

I adore this teacher. After struggling through math for years at the high school level, she helped me get it!! If you intend on being an elementary school teacher, take this class. You have to learn how to THINK like a teacher and this class will truly help you do that!

I love this teacher. She is so nice. Yes, she can be slow with some concepts, but it will be worth it in the end. She is putting mathematical concepts into your brain. These core concepts can take time to learn. She turns your tests back in a timely manner, but is a hard test grader, but it is worth it. An amazing professor. Take her!!!

some students are just slow. the class is slow because she's hammering mathematical CONCEPTS. you'll be amazed how many future teachers can't manage to grasp the simple concepts and apply them to different areas or problems, which is sort of the point. it's a back to basics approach showing ways to TEACH, not to learn. cute for an older lady :)
