Has he left Rutgers? I took his class four years ago. One of the best I had. The discussions were always interesting. He really made you think about literature you might have thought you wouldn't care about. Amazing.

Comment:
Not a ton of work-weekly one page responses and two 5-7 pg papers-must do reading and think about mind-body issues and participate in a significant way, however. Seminar styled class, combines classic Philosophy and Literature, which is interesting. Prof Kramnick a decent guy, real focused on the material but can be laid back.Must be fully engaged.

Made you think, funny, easy going. Enjoyed that the class was based on group discussion. Work not too intense, weekly responses were only 300 word essays, 2 papers. Readings were all interesting as well. Loved it! & Looks slightly like George Clooney. Highly recommend.

2 papers that are easily graded, 1 group presentation that is easy if you split up the work. I didn't read anything all semester and just studied my notes and skimmed the readings the night BEFORE the midterm and I received an A. Either I'm a genius or this class is a pretty easy to pass if you wake up and go.

I did not enjoy this, he doesnt want to know his students and he isnt very helpful. He lectures a lot and I did not find the material particularly interesting. Grade consisted of 2 papers and a group presentation. I would not recommend him.

Quite a lot of reading per class, not to mention boring books. Overall, had 2 essays and 3 exams. Prof did not want to know the students; more interested in his ipod and ibook. Tend to be a procrastinator, so will not help if you ask what's the format of the exam. Fair grader, though.

Proabably the easiest seminar class taught at Rutgers. Hes always late, controls class discussion, lectures A LOT and doesn't seem very interested in his job but he is very knowledgeable. He is a man set in his opinions, don't expect to get much creative leway in the classroom. There are definite loopholes one can take advantage of in this class...

Very healthy looking guy, but kinda confused. He canceled class a couple times, but it might have been for good reasons. Strict about retaking those straightforward hard exams. If possible get a note from your class dean, especially if you are sick.

He never bothered trying to know our names. This irked me because he asked questions but then just pointed at whoever was raising their hand.A good teacher motivates a student to do well. Also, the books in this class were terribly boring.Exams were straightforward but essay questions unclear.

Ok, I had this man 4 years ago, and he rocked. He knows so much about Restoration lit, you'd swear that lived through the period. I would definitely take another class with him.

this man should NOT be a professor. he's boring, he's not insightful, he's not committed to the students. one of the worst professors in the English dept. the man spends what time he should have been prepping for class, at the gym (it does show).
