Tremendous professor. Enjoyed every moment of class. He knows what he is doing and better yet enjoys what he does making his class enjoyable. The down side is that he is leaving the University, he will be missed.

Takeuchi is very enthusiastic about chemistry and really wants his students to do well. His lectures are provided online so you can print them out and follow along during class. He's willing to answer questions. I felt like he was more organized during the first half of the semester and rushed a little towards the end. 2 tests and a final.

Best professor I ever had in UB so far. I really loved his class. He loves his students who wants to study hard, and who shows efforts and respects to his class. He definitely teaches a LOT to help you to ace the exams. He def. knows how to teach and let students understand better. No matter what, NEVER DROP THIS CLASS! IT IS HARD TO GET IN!! :)

Best professor ever! If you have him for either CHE101 or 102 you just DO NOT DROP his class. He is best, and he wants his class to know better than any other section's classes. Take him, and read textbook and you will definitely manage to get A.

Dr T is one of the best educators in the SUNY system and he really cares about the individual success of each one of his students. He covers topic clearly and while he does expect a lot from his students he provides all the tools you need to meet these expectations. I recommend him to any student.

You Won't find a better chem professor than him @ UB. Homeworks are extensive, along with a research project in the 106 Section, work is intense but well worth it. A+ GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS

Dr. T wants all of his students to be the very best. He cares about whether you do good or bad and will help until you completely understand. Also, he chooses T.A.s that are top quality. This class goes more in depth then the regular chem classes, but it is worth it. I would recommend this class to anyone who will work and wants to go far.

He is the BEST teacher i have ever had. He explains things very well and is really interesting in lecture. I always looked forward to class. He always goes over in detail what will be on his tests, which are not that hard. The homework is long and kind of hard but it prepares you. If you have a chance, take him!!!

Everyone else loves him, but he's not really my cup of tea personality-wise. He's often cavalier about his subject. He gives pep talks regularly, which rubs me the wrong way. Also, he really loves application of concepts (he thinks he's very clever for coming up with examples that most people with some determination could think up). Try him out.
