Engaging in a conversation with Dr. E is a pop quiz in itself. If you are considering being an accounting major, go up to University Park. Dr. E teaches all the major classes you will need to graduate, and he's the only option. Dr. E rants during classes and you leave learning nothing, but then must go to a 6 hour review to pass his exams.

Comment:
I have taken Dr. E for higher level accounting level classes (404, 471, and 472). He is a highly respectable professor and person. As long as youre willing to put in the work, you will get a lot out of his classes. The reviews are a little tenuous but not many professors will host 5 hour reviews for the students benefit.

Comment:
If you care about your grade do NOT take this course, professor is very old school and makes the course way harder then it is intended to be. Compared to other professor's courses and expectations he is was harder making exams not fair and homework way more tedious and overly difficult. Expect a lot of quizs and to work hard to obtain a god grade.

I've had Dr. E multiple times now (acctg 211, 404, 471). He is a great instructor, and he frequently is running on little to no sleep due to his preparations for classes. You WILL leave his classes understanding the material better than any other professor at Altoona, but you have to work for it. I'm glad I had him each time.

Greatest teacher ever! His review sessions are 6hrs on Sundays (not mandatory), this might seem a little daunting however he covers everything on the exam and is definitely very useful, ask anyone! Great character and very approachable! Six-Eight 20pt quizzes, takes the highest 4. They are pretty simple though... Not too hard to get an A!

DO NOT TAKE HIM! this class will be the death of you. material is extremely difficult and lectures are painful. tests are impossible to pass and review sessions are 6 hours long. do yourself a favor and take someone else bc youll prob end up dropping. he's a good guy but expects too much from his students. this course will kill your gpa.

Dr E is an excellent prof and goes out of his way to make sure you understand, all you have to do is ask. I have had him for many of my accounting classes, and if you want to know accounting, then you want to take Dr E. He is not easy, but if you want to truly learn, it isn't easy. Highly recommend!!

I started out hating this class, i almost dropped it on the 3rd day. Upon finishing this class, it was one of the best classes I have taken and I will never forget it. Even though the material is a bit hard, and he might not get through to you the first couple times, he really goes the extra mile to help his students understand and succeed.

Awesome professor. Really cares about his students and will do anything to help you if you ask. He's clear on the topics and makes sure everyone is on pace with him. He's level headed, unlike so many other profs at our school. His grading is very fair and his tests are easy if you study for them. He has study sessions before each test too.Take him.
