Professor Landgrebe is a super talented and passionate teacher. He cares a lot about the subject he teaches and is one of the most knowledgeable professors I've had. His lectures can be a lot of information, but the assessments are not difficult if you take notes. Highly recommend taking Jazz history with him.

He was a great professor overall. Homework was based on readings and listening assignments which were not graded though there was a weekly discussion board post that had to be a few paragraphs long. Attendance is mandatory as he has TopHat take attendance and his lectures tend to have a lot of review questions on them.

100-person lecture, so he's the only one that talks - he's engaging and passionate about the material. Uses TopHat to track attendance/participation, so you have to go to class. All the quizzes and exams are online and multiple-choice - if you take notes in class, you're golden. Super easy to get an A, but you get out of it what you put in

Rock music is definitely one of the most fun and one of the easiest classes I've taken at college. All the tests are take home online multiple choice tests, and if you take notes you're guaranteed an A. Uses a clicker to track attendance, so you have to show up to class. Professor is Landgrebe super chill and the course material is interesting.

He is the best teacher you will ever have at Northeastern. He makes the subject matter extremely interesting, and really puts forth the extra step to ensure his students are doing well in his class. If you put in the effort that this class deserves you will get a good grade.

Really chill guy and a nasty guitarist. The rock class has over 200 kids so he's basically the only one who talks, but it's a very interesting topic and he seems to genuinely enjoy teaching it

Knows his stuff and has lots of experience playing music. Really easy NU Core lvl 1 Arts/Humanities class, but it's also interesting if you like music. He's very understanding if you're struggling or having issues, and offers a lot of extra credit. Exams and quizzes are online, and use clickers in class. Short weekly online homework assignments.

Professor Junauro Landgrebe is one of the best professors Im having in my first semester at Northeastern. His Rock Music class is great for music lovers (even if you're not a die-hard rock fan, you'd still enjoy it) and we sometimes get to watch live performances of him and his band in class! Just don't skip class because participation matters!

Very easy class with quizzes/mid-terms/finals online and multiple choice. The professor always responded to my emails about any questions I had and was always a pleasure to hear him teach about a subject he loved. Take if you want an easy A!

Easiest class you'll ever take. Not rewarding at all. Professor is not very helpful. Did not respond to emails and dismissed me when I had a question. A good class if you want an easy A, otherwise it's like listening to the radio-especially if you already know a lot about music. Would not recommend.

Great teacher! Extremely easy class as well. He keeps it interesting in class and plays the guitar at times. Nice overview of rock history. Tests extremely easy, and were online. Doesn't get better than this!

Pretty easy class. Quizzes are pretty tough but you can usually do well on them even if you don't go to class. Mid term is mad easy and the final is pretty tough. Not that boring of a class.

EASY EASY class! Discussion boards (which can be annoying) are almost a guaranteed 100 and the quizes each week are a piece of cake. for the midterm, he literally read off the test and gave us every question and answer. final was kind of difficult, but it was probably b/c i didn't pay attention at all. Easy A if you go to class and pay attention

Professor Landgrebe is a good teacher but the class left me an unsatisfied feeling. If you are a fan of rock music and know a little bit about it, this class might be horribly boring for you. The 2 discussion boards a week are almost a sure 100% and the quizzes are simple too. For the mid-term he literally read off the answer sheet. Too easy.

I had him for Rock Music, and Music Theory. He's a very good music theory teacher and is extremely patient and gives lots of room to improve your grade if you are struggling. He's very approachable and helpful and I would defiantly take another theory class with him. And he's really cute!

Ridiculously easy class. Take this if you want an easy A and a throw-away class. But if you're really serious about rock music and like to actually talk about it you probably won't like it. It left me feeling very unfulfilled but it was the easiest class I've ever taken.

Comment:
Easy class, period. Don't bother buying the books, none of your readings are tested on. If you want a cake easy A class, take this. But if you actually want to LEARN about music, this class is beyond disappointing. He spends way too much time on vague statements about genres, and even more time showing off his guitar skills. Throwaway class at best
