Great guy. Helpful if you care about the class. The subject is not easy so it will require studying. Welcome to college.

His class is not easy, but it is manageable if you dedicate a lot of time to it. Take the homework seriously. While the tests are not exactly like the homework, these homework problems are the only way to check your understanding if done honestly. While hard, I can honestly say this is the class in which I learned the most this semester.

Wersinger was really no fun at all. Try to stay away if you can, he barely teaches in class and his homework is usually very hard and does not apply to tests. However, he does scale grades at the end of the semester, so it's not terribly hard to get a solid grade if you work at it.

Absurd amounts of homework that fail to help you come test time. Class is very poorly divided into thirds. I found the TA to more helpful and knowledgeable.

Grades don't reflect the actual knowledge of the students. Virtually impossible to prepare for tests since their format changes every time.

STAY AWAY. I unfortunately took him for honors 1 and 2.. HUGE mistake. He can't make up his mind on how to "teach" the class. 3 tests we had were all different formats and VERY hard. Only people who did well were the people who literally did physics all day. Don't take this class unless youre a physics major. Find a different class for honors hours

Tough material and tough teacher. He throws in material from upper level physics and unintentionally messes with your brain. The only way to do well is study examples from the book, use online help for homework, and hope you do well on tests. He rushes everything and expects you to learn it on your own.

I recently just finished the semester with Wersinger. First and foremost, you will need your book. At times, you will ask him a question and he will respond with an answer to a question that he thought you meant to ask. He offers office hours, but they aren't necessary to make an A if you know the material. He's also really big on concepts.

Stay away from this class. This guy rushes through the chapters doing 1 in 2 days, and then creates these impossible conceptual test questions. Office hrs help a little, but if you haven't taken physics AND calculus before, then you'll most likely fail the class. He often does a bell curve, but if the class average is high, you're screwed.

Nice guy, but hopelessly incompetent as a teacher. Tests are tricky, more of a math guy than a physics teacher. Will offer office hours help, but half the time is too busy to help.

Honors PHYS 1607 is probably a bad idea unless you're a physics major. Plan on spending a lot of time studying. He does pretty well given how hard the class is, though.

This professor is unhelpful and overzealous. He does not teach material at the proper level, but confuses students with material which is beyond what they should be learning. He is a nice man but is a hopeless teacher. His tests consist of trick questions and are given at odd hours of day and night. If you can take anyone else, do so.

You will understand the material, what he's talking about, what he wants... or you'll do badly in any class he teaches. Will help much if you can catch him in his office. Not really all that bad...just serious about his classes/projects.

Cool teacher. Tests are VERY HARD. It is MC, but mostly conceptual questions. He helps you after class. Tries to tell jokes. If you stay above class average[around 50+], then you get an A in the class. He does some bell curve at the end{class ave=C in class}. I would take him again. (I got a B)
