This class was a half of semester and consisted of 2 exams and 2 practical tests. He does not teach how to use the CDU's just shows you what to do and expects you to know it for the practical tests. The exams had stuff we never covered during class. This is by far the worst class I have taken!! AVOID!!!

Professor has the experience and the knowledge, just does not do a great job teaching it to others. This is my second class taking with him and will be my last. Course grade is solely dependent on test scores and often test material includes things not covered in class.

Professor Beneigh definitely knows what he is talking about although he can be very dry when he tries to teach it. His teaching also isn't the greatest & isn't very clear with his teachings. He can be very powerpoint heavy sometimes and can make you lose interest. If you go to his office hours he will help you out especially when using the charts

I had Professor Beneigh for AS350, and he is definitely not a "bad" Professor. Lecture-wise, he actually did a great job in explaining the concepts. He is "Death-By-PowerPoint" and monotone, yes, and his Tests are slightly difficult. He still does want his students to succeed, and he wants them all to learn the concepts well. I did like him overall

Lectures are extremely bland, but thats in part due to the material. Study the powerpoints and textbook, and compare notes with others to make sure you have a good understanding of the material; his tests aren't too difficult but there are some tricky questions. Almost everything he writes on the board is on the tests, so show up and write it down.

His lectures are the absolute worst I have ever sat through. He continuously contradicts himself, he's monotone, he goes incredible too far into detail, and most of what he teaches isn't on the exam. He doesn't care if everyone in the class missed a question on the exam (because we were taught incorrectly), he has zero sympathy. good luck.

Took this class over the Summer. You will learn in-depth about all the B747-400 systems, as well as get hands-on experience using a special computer program called Aerowinx. Group project is based on the Boeing 787 and everyone usually gets a high 90 on it. Tests are easy if you thoroughly read the textbook and take very good notes. Best of luck!

You will get a better understanding of systems in this class. Most find the class to be very dry. However, I found it very interesting. The problem lies in the tests. They are tough and you will need to REALLY read the textbook (not very long chapters & lots of pictures) go over all of the PowerPoints and take diligent notes!

3 tests, one group project. All you really have to do is show up to class and take notes on whatever he writes on the board. Go through the textbook and really understand what it's trying to say and you'll be okay. He's just super super super boring and dry. I literally had to walk out of class to splash water on my face to stay awake.

Classes can be boring and test tough, but if you pay attention and copy what he writes on the whiteboard and the questions he ask on review day, you will get a B. Group project is easy and usually get a high 90 which counts as a test grade. Would take again.

Terrible teacher! His exams questions are nothing like what he covers in class. Half of the questions you will see for the first time. Lectures are EXTREMELY boring and to get an A you will have sell your soul.

This is by no means a easy A. He will make sure you earn your degree. Lecture can be extremely boring! you will sit in front of a power point for the whole 50 mins. Has a tendency to rush the end of his power points to stay on course schedule. Review day is critical for pass the class. No homework, but overall grade depends on test scores....

Prof. Beneigh is a good professor, but the course isn't an easy A. For his classes, pay attention to his lectures - he drops pop quiz bombs every once in a while. If he writes something on the board, WRITE IT DOWN IN YOUR NOTES. I also noticed he would review right off the test sheet, so pay attention on review day. Work a little, and you win.

Taught with lab instructor John Bounds. Both strictly there for a paycheck. Grades never updated. No lessons on how to fly sim through instruction (would only refer students to a handbook). Completely made up lesson plan (gave out failing lab grades during last week of class as a result of no competent instruction). Both unpleasant.

Professor Beneigh is a good teacher. His class is not hard as long as you attend and pay attention. The textbook is not even need as long as you listen and take notes. His exam review are very thorough and he is very helpful with questions during the exams.

Professor Beneigh made a enjoyable interesting class dull and lifeless. I failed his class because I had the flu and missed a week of class although I had a grade of 92%. I had a Doctors note and tried to appeal but I had no cooperation from him dont take his classes. And I plan on using all 350 characters here to convey my level of disapointment.

His class is hard, he doesnt care for his students. I advise you not to take this professor. Hes smart and all but cant teach anything. I hate coming to class and dont you dare miss one or you have to write a three page single spaced 12 point font paper on whatever he wants, I'm not exaggerating...
