Miriam is an absolute gem! She has absolutely changed the way I perceive theatre. Yes, she will truly make you work for it. You will work extremely hard, but in the end, you will be glad you did. I am in a second class with her, and I still love her. She cares about her students. I am LUCKY to have her as a professor.

Miriam gets a bad rep by people who can't take her criticism. She's here to make you and your art better, not make you feel better. If you're not interested in doing the work that comes with that, then she has no time for you, and she will be sure to let you know about it. Flattery is optional, it won't better your grade. I love the woman.

Miriam gets a terrible rep but she's honestly amazing. Is she tough? Yeah. Is she scary? Oh yeah. Does she care about every student? Definitely. I'm ashamed to admit that I dodged taking a class with her for 2 1/2 years. One of the worst mistakes. I love her. She's tough but she pushes you to do well. Help her and she'll help you. Love my Mir.

Miriam is seriously the best thing that's ever happened to me as an actor and even just as a human. I love her dearly. Her class is hard, and she can certainly be intimidating, but she truly cares about her students and their growthwell-being. She's straight up insane, but it totally works. IF YOU DON'T TAKE HER CLASS, YOU'RE SERIOUSLY BRAINDEAD

She's particularly tough on her Advanced Performance Workshop classes and expects them to work for their grades. You won't just slide by in her class. She has a very strict attendance policy and you need to follow it. Despite coming off as tough, she really cares about the well-being of her students. Take this class if you want to learn something.

She is the greatest acting teacher at rider university. Every acting or MT major should be taking acting with her at some point. One of the smartest people on campus, and it's a shame that people have not taken her classes based upon rumors. TAKE HER CLASS!

Miriam is the best. I was terrified going into her class because of rumors I have heard, but don't listen to them. Yes, she is tough, but she helps you grow SO MUCH. She wants to see you succeed, and if you put in the work, you can. Her class helped me to grow as an actress, student, and a person. You will be bettered by taking her class.

Great teacher. She literally writes the important words you need to memorize for tests on the board. Midterm and Final, Quizzes from plays you need to read. Know that you have to go see a NY Broadway play. Attendance for 2 Rider plays is mandatory. She collects ticket stubs and you have to write 4 review papers. Usually lets class out early.

Mills is not for the weak. If you are serious about becoming a better actor, she works! Everyone kept saying that Mills was horrible, but then I had her class and she was everything but. Tough, yes,but fair. She can be a little unclear about her assignments at times, but just ask, she won't bite. She made me grow as an actress. I love her GO MILLS!

absolutely terrible class. The most uninteresting course i have ever taken. 90 mins with this lady is brutal! Material isn't terribly hard, but she is not funny contrary to other comments. AVOID!!

Her class is so easy, but I had to miss one for personal reasons. I emailed her and never got a response, turns out she changed the date of a quiz to that day and wouln't let me make it up. So don't miss any classes, she's not forgiving if you do.
