Borgers is an amazing guy. He uses Bagel Institute to engage the lectures and let people ask questions there, giving detailed emails in response. He also emails students individually every week and checks up on them. Calc 2 as a subject is hard and not that interesting. There is a lot of small hw that piles up but not bad if you space them out.

I never write professor reviews, but this guy is something special. He really does care about his students and has been the most accommodating out of all my online classes. He uses a website that lets you anonymously ask questions which he will always answer, either in class or by email (he will literally write up many paragraphs if need be).

Calc 2 is a tough class but he does his best to ease it as much as possible. Probably the best math professor I have seen at the school. Even with so many students, he is very responsive, caring, and is always willing to help.

Pretty good extra credit opportunity. Very nice dude. Explanations during live zoom aren't necessarily the most concise, but tbh you won't really need any explaining if you watch the pre-lecture vids and keep up with Piazza. 10/10 best German prof at Tufts.

Professor Borgers is a great guy and is a really caring teacher. It is obvious that he is passionate both about his scholarly studies and about his students. He is always willing to meet and give extra help, whether during office hours or over email. However, he does move quite quickly; his online quizzes are tricky but only worth 10% of the grade.

Entertaining, funny professor but moves VERY quickly. Very open to help during office hours and sends lots of clarification e-mails. I'm not a math person but I enjoyed this class.
