Had her for an ANTH101 online class. It's an easy A if you DO the readings. Textbook is kinda lengthy and dry. Quizzes and tests were all multiple choice and were curved a lot so that was helplful. Three essays overall. Always got my grade back right after the deadline, which was nice!

Her class is terribly boring, dry reading from the PowerPoints. shes not clear on what you need to study for her tests, so make sure to read everything. PowerPoints are accessible online. Use the book a lot. Her online quizzes are basically open book, but are timed.

Do yourself a favor and just do not take this class. Professor Borg is a slow speaker and simply uses slides to teach the entire course. I learned best when reading through the textbook, though it didn't matter because her exams (only four) were on nothing we learned about in class or happened to be found in the textbook. Same with the quizzes.

I would recommend students to avoid this class. Borg is an uninspiring in her lectures and is unforgiving on tests. Her online tests are near impossible to do well on, and her in class exams are very difficult to prepare for without memorizing every minute detail about everything. Study guides are unhelpful and office hours are even less so. Avoid.

She is great. This is not my favorite class at all and the PowerPoint death can be really real if you aren't prepared for note taking, however everything is accessible on OAKs from the beginning. The syllabus is easy to understand and the expectations are clear. She gives great individual feedback on every assignment.

Dr. Borg is very nice, but course is not necessarily easy. She works straight from her power points which come straight from the textbook. Tests are partially online and open book, but know what you are looking for because they are timed. Fairly dry, but clearly passionate about her work.

What you can expect: Long, boring, read off the powerpoint lectures taken directly from the textbook. You'll have online multiple choice tests paired with an in-class essay. Two in-class group labs. She's a pretty fair grader, but there's absolutely no extra credit and don't expect any sort of a curve.

I had Dr. Borg for my FYSE. We had 5 books total to read for her this past semester, but they were actually interesting to me. Some of them weren't too long. There are also readings online. Class discussions on books/readings. If you have trouble even with the tiniest things, just reach out to her F2F or by email!! Sweet woman! Grade: maybe a B-.

Borg is boring and impossible. No matter how any times you read the text book the essay portions of her test will kill you, while study guides may touch base on multiple choice, it will NEVER help with essays. All her lectures are reading monotone from a power point that is posted online for you to read at home. If at all possible avoid.

HW you have to read 12 page articles then answer relatively easy questions on them. The quizzes are straight from the book and have only a little overlap with lecture. You do not get the answers back for the quizzes to study for the test. Read the chapters to do good on the tests, I didn't and suffered. Avoid this course.

Dr. Borg is an awesome (though sometimes boring) professor! She relies heavily on the text, drops the lowest lab grade, and has a take-home essay instead of a final. Always tells you what you need to know to be successful. Take if you have an interest in archaeology, I learned a lot and always found the material interesting.

This class was so boring. I took it as an elective because I enjoyed 101 so much. However, she goes through the powerpoints extremely fast- they are straight from the book- they are long and confusing. She used the same stuff for us as her Maymester online class. Lots of quizzes and online writing assignments. Hated it.

I think a complete waste of money. She will base everything on text book, zip through slide shows and be irritated that you want to go back to the last slide "all of this is in the book" which makes lecture seem very pointless, boring. Shes sweet. but its a very frustrating lecture, you wont get anything out of it.

One of the most boring classes I have ever taken. Borg reads straight off of powerpoints and does not put them online. Extremely easy class though. I never read the book or studied and I made an A in the course. Its not a fun class with Borg but its little work and easy to pass with a good grade.

Dr Borg is so nice! She loves teaching and her students. Her slides are from the book and she explains the information more. She loves to give extra credit and is very fair in grading. She always gives extra credit on tests, and sometimes those tests are very long. Great prof! One of the best at CofC!

Dr. Borg is a nice lady but her class is unorganized which makes this class harder than it should be. The information is interesting, but she never covers information on time (she'll finish a chapter the same day its covered in a test) and pulls random information to quiz on. She does try to be helpful, but her lack of organization kills the course

Probably the most boring class I've taken so far. I was really interested in taking anthro but after this class I never want to take another one. Tests can be hard if you're not good at memorizing textbooks quotes. If you want to take anthro take a different professor and avoid Borg.

She might as well read the textbook to you. She takes the book, and puts it on powerpoint, reads it to you..and expects you to memorize every word. She gives a lot of extra credit, but its not really worth it because of the way she adds it in. I bring my computer to class, and go on it all class (what im doing now!) Don't expect to learn anything!

Here's all you need to know for her class: Copy, paste textbook to powerpoint. That's it. Then she reads the powerpoint to the class. No discussion. The most interesting class was when she was absent and a guest speaker taught. Definitely a sleep inducing class, when it should be a very interesting subject.
