Nice guy, supportive teacher. Doesn't always give clear feedback on how to improve, but set up peer-learning groups. It's marketing so even if be doesn't say it he expects essays to be interesting; make kinda weird titles, insert pictures, and show what you learn in addition to citing stuff from the book. That is how you'll be successful.

Great professor who wants his students to succeed. He has been really helpful with the online course by offering videos and lectures to address problems the students are currently facing. Homework can sometimes be a bit hard, but Excel will be your best friend throughout this course.

I took this class online during the summer. There is a lot of reading. He offers tons of extra credit which is probably why I got a 100% in the class. The quizzes are simple and the simulations really help you understand the marketing in a real world situation. Enjoyed and learned from this class. Just apply yourself & turn assignments in on time.

He's super easy-going and funny. Let's you out of class early pretty frequently. Quizzes aren't too tough, exams are terrible but you'll want to study. Take the big group project you're working on seriously. He doesn't make you do those horrible simulations that the rest of the marketing professors do.

Enjoyed Professor Bourff's class. There were several groups projects and presentations, so partner up with a good group. He provides insightful, solid feedback. He is fairly laid back and not as structured as I would like, but most students appreciate that style.

Dave is an awesome professor of Finance. The first time I took Finance I failed miserably. When I retook Finance with Dave it was like a light bulb finally clicked on and I understood the basic learning objectives of Finance 303. He applies the course material to real-life scenarios in a way that makes Finance seem applicable. Must take Professor.

He is extremely disorganized and unclear about when deadlines are and what he expects. I am a straight A student and know that I turned in great work, yet he would always give back an A- or B and not have any clear feedback for why I was marked down. You will write five 20-30 page papers within a matter of weeks. Horrible experience with him.

Bourf is a funny guy who makes me enjoy my time in class. There is no homework, but doing the practice problems he assigns from the book is the best way to learn the material. Does not take attendance, but gets to know his students. Most importantly, his tests come in two parts. Half is take-home (which is amazing), and the other half is in-class.

Funny teacher. Pretty easy all year. Final project is a ton of work including multiple long papers and presentations, but it was easy all year so its not bad.

Bourff is a good professor. His Finance 303 class is challenging, and there's a fair amount of work, but he knows what he's talking about and he's willing to help if you ask him or visit office hours. His lectures are entertaining, and usually not off topic or a waste of time. Most quiz stuff is on quizlet, but the in class quizes are tough.

Take it from a student with a 3.9 GPA, don't take this professor. Some people like him, some people don't. The projects are kind of lame, and took forever to understand what he wanted. Prepare to do a lot of reading and writing essays. But the thing that will kill you is the qualitative quizzes which the answers aren't found in the book/lecture.

Meaningless busy work and a group project that is worth 30% of your grade, good luck getting an A unless you have a group you know will do the work.

He was great for Marketing, but not Finance. It is a lot of Excel work and his exams are really tough. Projects help with pulling up your grade, but they are very time consuming. All quizzes are True-False, which doesn't really help, either. He is okay, but if you can take someone else, do it. Recommended for Marketing though.

Dave is so much fun. He makes lectures enjoyable and entertaining. Not too many tests or quizzes, just enough. Most of his tests are based on the textbook and his presentation slides. Make sure you read his instructions for projects thoroughly, he likes things done specifically.

Dave's a great guy and I enjoy his lectures. They almost always ended early but didn't seem to skim or rush thru topics. Team marketing project was big & time consuming. Sometimes unclear on assignments due on MHConnect vs in-class assignments and BlackBoard. Exams were tough but practice questions in etext were a great study aid. Would take again.

This class wasn't too difficult. There was just always something due and he's one of those professors that always takes off a few points off the top and will tell you that it "wasn't quite there" if you ask why (I had him for marketing too). His lectures were entertaining and he did well with teaching finance concepts. Hard A, easy B.

I have taken him for mktg 301 & finance 303. I am taking him for Mktg 420 this summer. He cancels classes at least once once or twice which is awesome. If the class isn't doing well or understanding, he back tracks- reevaluates and does his best to facilitate students passing his class. Not easy- but very manageable. Great sense of humor.
