Unbelievably insulting to students. If you ask a question or attempt to participate, be prepared to be talked to like you are stupid and not worth his time. I was shocked at how he talked to others in the class, which made me not want to participate.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. He has no respect for anyone but himself. He insults students and the university. He tries to say that he cares about the students while constantly bragging about himself. His personality makes the lectures unbearable. He also insulted one of the best students in the class to the point of making her cry.

I took this class as an elective b/c I thought I would learn a lot about HR, not worth the stress.I'm a transfer student and this class gives a terrible taste of ISU. He never covers all of the material needed for the test or study guide. Craves participation but it prevents completion of the material. I'm an A student and this class is hard. AVOID

Dr. Binning is one of my favorite professors here at ISU. He was entertaining to listen to and taught valuable lessons that were completely separate from psychology. His tests. include a lot of stuff that is only said in lecture, so you pretty much have to go. If you have to take a senior psychology course, I would recommend this one with Binning.

He's a cool person, but also can be indecent if you aren't specific enough about a question. He sucks at his job but somehow keeps you interested and at times does give clarity. Went to every lecture but my problem was not getting into the book enough. Best 3 out of 4 Tests, are all multiple choice with the the most specific examples for questions.

A very intelligent man. However, goes on tangents & speaks to everyone like they are young children who need fear to motivate them. Wish he would keep to the point bc it's interesting material. All tests, some extra credit available. Must attend class to do well on exams (which decide your grade). And the guy loves his damn breath mints

He is a very entertaining man but sometimes goes on tangents that get distracting and its hard to conceptualize everything he is trying to get at because of this. Attend class if you plan on passing. He doesn't let you forget that.

This class takes some effort. If you want to do well, attend EVERY CLASS session. He covers the material in the slides, but also information that is not on them. We didn't use the book in class, but it's a good idea to get it for reference. The GA is there for YOU, go to his/her office hours for help. I ended up with an A.

He's a very entertaining guy with a lot of relevant and non relevant stories. His grades are ALL tests but gives you a study guide/extra credit opportunity. He's really intelligent but I did not enjoy his class most days. He expects his students to know too much. You also have to read a lot to get an A on his tests because he doesn't teach parts.

He is a smart man and knows his stuff. He just isn't a good teacher, if he focused on the material as much as he does his grateful dead and meat head rants, it would be an okay class. Very confusing, expects you to know everything. Tests are hard and don't match the study guides which are bad too. Don't take this class unless you have to.

Honestly liked him and thought he was funny at first but after awhile you kind of get sick of his nonsense. He goes off on tangents a lot and doesn't cover all of the material. He does care about his students and wants them to succeed though. I would only take this class if you have to.

He is funny and keeps the class interesting but the material can be quite difficult. He gets off track sometimes and doesnt cover all the material that are on exams. The test are hard and you have to attend class in order to do well.

Binning is the man. His lectures are entertaining and what he wants you to know for the test is very clear. You absolutely MUST go to class to succeed in his class. I didn't miss a lecture, skimmed the textbook a bit before each test to hit the points we missed in class, and got A's on every test.

If you don't like going to class, than he's not the teacher for you. In order to do well you have to go to class, he'll say things that aren't in the book or on the ppts that WILL be on the tests. Also, reading is completely necessary even though he doesn't stress it. Hard teacher, but pretty entertaining.

Best professor I've ever had. For those of you who plan on attending every now and then...don't take him! He essentially structures his class in a way that allows YOU to determine your own fate. His lectures are hysterical. He's a very interesting guy...but also very intelligent. I've learned a lot about the business world from his class.
