Mark is one of the most insightful teachers around. He understands acting and teaches it well. He will tell you when you suck and he will tell you when you are brilliant. He will push you until you have reached your potential, and if you haven't, he will push you until the semester is over. Great professor, I learned more than just acting from him.

He's a really cool dude. Also, don't think just because this is a theater class that it will be an easy A. He will push you hard to help you understand acting.

I must admit I was nervous going into a class that involved me performing in front people, but Mark helped you gain confidence in yourself. He made sure you improved each class. He made class fun and worth your while. Eventually, I was excited to go to Mark's it was the best time of the day

One of the most funnest Professor in Hamilton. He is REAL and clear with what he wants from you in the class. great intro class, you may be a starter just like i was in his class, but don't worry, as long you show improvement, your grade will be on the good side. can really be a great stress relieve class for your other 3 dreadful classes.

He's the man. If you are inexperienced you'll grow a lot in his class, but if you are already at a high level it may feel a bit like going through the motions. He's a complete egomaniac (as with a lot of theater teachers) but he has a really good heart and genuinely will come to bat for you. DO NOT PISS HIM OFF and COME TO CLASS.

will spend a few minutes of every morning talking about his wife or golf. But Mark is pretty accurate with pinpointing the problems with a person's acting. As long a person shows improvement, he's okay with the grades. Good class to wake up for.

101 can be a real pain, especially if you get stuck with the whole football team in your class, but it gets better with 102. One of the few professors who allows class input and feedback on performances, and who encourages it. People bash him as a "soft option" and that's not entirely unfounded, but there is also a LOT you can get out of this man.

Had him for intro to stage performance my very first semester at Hamilton. I can't imagine a better class to take right off the bat. Mark is great at helping kids to acclimate themselves to college and you will make friends b/c of lots of interaction. The class itself is fairly easy. Do the work and take his criticism and you should get the 'A'.

Ignore Mark's ginormous ego! Beyond that you can really benefit from him. I was constantly impressed by Mark's wisdom in regard to human nature and people's objectives, tactics, and obstacles in life. He did a better job than any other professor as far as guiding new freshmen. 101 is a fantastic way for first-years to quickly make friends.

I can't decide whether I think Mark is okay just because the rest of the theatre professors can be so horrible. He has a habit of making people's personal issues public and he tries to create unfriendly competition among the students. He'll give you a recommendation fast though. He has his uses.

Mark's fun for the intro classes, but he's essentially useless. Out of the loop, generally confused and typically unaware of anything important, he'll suggest grad school and the Straw Hats, but is a one trick pony. Never has time for students. Prone to dickitry and loves showing off. Not helpful.
