Comment:
Professor Pins is not a good lecturer. He teaches by mostly talking about biomedical applications. Which, if you like that, he is your guy, however he does not teach the theories and equations that well. Test are easy and homework is not that bad. He also likes to go on tangents and speak about random stuff, which is funny. Overall he's just ok

One of the worst professors I've had at WPI. Spent more than half his lectures complaining about things his MQP group does wrong, that is if he actually shows up on time. Didn't look up from his computer for the first half of our final presentation we spent 7 weeks working on. Don't bother trying to go to his office hours. He doesn't show up.

Pins was one of the best professors I have had within my major. His style may have been a little unconventional, as he used examples to illustrate concepts more than definitions, but he was always available for extra help, and between him and the TA (Benny Yuan is best TA), there was always someone to explain difficult concepts.

Comment:
He wasn't helpful at all. His teaching style was very sporadic. He expected you to know everything when he didn't really teach at all. His homework was ridiculously long and hard. The homework was almost impossible to do because he didn't teach the material ahead of time. Not very approachable, made you feel stupid if you asked a question.

Horrible professor. Is not clear on what he wants on material, ridiculous grading, and favors particular students. Overall bad professor. Be carefully if your BME, because you might get stuck with him

Very clear on what he wants done. Prints out lectures for everyone everyday and their perfect to just add notes too. He gives alot of homework that takes time but it definitely prepares you for the test. The homeworks are harder than the tests, but the homeworks are also worth more than the tests so it all works out.

Amazing... Extremely helpful and approachable. Exams were amazing. Kind of long, but if you know the stuff then they are easy. Homeworks are really useful. And he does oddly resemble Egon... Either way I can't wait to take another class with him!!

Comment:
He taught the part of this class about biomaterials. He talks and explains everything very well. The only bad part is that sometimes he can get off on tangents and then might not cover all the material. But he does like to help students, which is great!
