Comment:
Avoid taking this hybrid class at all costs. It's made up of mostly exams and it is a competition between the students. You divide your grade by the student with the highest amount of points. Overall, this was a very bad decision to take this class and if you aren't an econ major it will be harder for you because you have no interest. Don't take!

This guy was the most boring professor I think I could've ever had. He doesn't care about his students' success and seems like he just doesn't care about any part of the class. This class was a hybrid, but the only things in class were the exams. The exams were completely different from the online work. If you need this class, choose someone else.

All of the class is online, except the exams. The exams are written by the teacher, though, so they are completely different and usually more difficult. The few times I talked to the teacher, he was rude and talked down to me like I was stupid.

Worst professor I've ever had. Very condescending when you go to his office hours. Forced us to take an exam when the fire alarms were going off. Try to avoid at all possible, I had to take a 1000 level class to graduate and it was completely filled with useless information, he took pleasure in my struggles. A 1000 class shouldn't be this hard.

He is a terrible teacher. He does not like for you to ask questions will make you feel stupid if you do. Test are nothing like lectures. He doesn't like you to come to office hours will tell you to read book. I would not take him again. Really want to report him to economic chair.

Great professor. People do not like him because he expects you to learn. I learned more in Intermediate Microeconomics than I learned in most of my other economics courses put together. I had this professor for two other classes - Organization of Industries and Sports Economics. He is a fantastic teacher who expects you to do your best.

The worst one you will ever take. The exam and the grades all managed by him and the material covers the era of marchantlism, which is worth to waste your time on garbage knowledge and prejudiced treacher. The cours however is easy but the teacher is irresponsibly bad

I took the online equivalent of this course and if you're like me, DON'T DO IT!! I need a professor in my face telling me how the relations work so I can take notes. This class comes all out of the online book and so does all the homework, however the exams do not. He writes them and I found a disconnect between him and the online work.

I'm not sure why so many people struggle with Alexander or have problems with him. His lectures are well-explained, and he has a decent sense of humor. If you are some business student taking him as part of your General Business requirements, you ARE going to have to work hard, sorry. But you will learn a lot. Emailed articles come up on exams.

Professor was not helpful whatsoever. Textbook was not remotely related to the assignments and the assignments were not related to the tests. Assignments themselves were nearly impossible to complete and irrelevant to the subject matter in the course.

A terrible class to take. Prof Alexander is a very intelligent person, but his teaching does not reflect it. I found myself understanding concepts in class and doing well on the homework only to fail the tests. Tests do not reflect what is taught in lecture

Terrible teacher. Boring class overall and he drones on like it is never going to end. The online HW you have to pay for and it is all completely different than what is in the textbook. Essentially, you are paying $30 to increase your chance of failing the class.

Worst class I've ever taken in my collegiate career. Teaches one thing, then throws all curve balls on tests. 90% math essay form. 75% of my class is striving for a D, thus pushing a lot of their graduations back due to them dropping. He does curve though. But what does it matter if the class exam average is 35%

In all honesty he is the worst teacher I have ever had in my scholastic career. He is unable to help you understand concepts and is boring to listen too. over half of my class dropped by the end because no one could grasp his teaching style. Do not take this class with him period. I'm just glad it's over with and I am hopefully able to warn others.

Excellent course, excellent professor. So long as you show up, pay attention, do the reading, and apply logic to answer questions you should be fine.

Professor Alexander was very clear, explained the concepts well, and tests were fair. The class was curved against the top performer and questions require clear understanding and communication of the answer. It is absolutely mandatory that students read both the textbook AND the additional reading articles in order to test well.

He was an okay teacher. The class I took was Principles of Microeconomics was not very interesting to me and his lectures are pretty simple and boring but it's clear that he likes his subject and knows it well. We did all our assignments online, which was pretty easy. His tests were all multiple choice but were somewhat difficult.

Honestly, the worst teacher I have ever had in school at any level. His tests don't relate to 99% of what he talks about or teaches in class. He is boring, and he doesn't know how to help. Seriously, take anyone besides him, 35 out of 70 students dropped the class after 1 month. Test averages are around 30-40%, with no curve. He is really bad.

Professor covers material very well. The key to doing well is looking at the syllabus and READING THE ARTICLES he assigns. The articles are 90+% of the exams. Go to class, take notes, do the homework...Straight forward
