Great professor, very encouraging and incredibly helpful. Allows revisions and opportunities to get better grades. Cares about good creative writing, not typical teacher papers. Relates well to students. Semi-retired so he doesn't teach as many classes as he used to.

Essay Writing For English Majors... Some very light reading (2-5 pages when he assigns it), 5 short 3-5pg essays. He is very helpful at introducing new writing concepts through the examples he has you read, and is also very clear at fixing mistakes. He will make you a better writer. Class is easy. He's nice. Usually let us out 15 mins early (Tu/Th)

He is the COOLEST guy. He is funny, caring, and a great teacher. He really cares about your grades and how much you understand the material. He is my favorite professor at UML. As long as you do the work, and listen in class, you should end up with at least a B. He really tries to give you the best grade you deserve. AN A+ TEACHER.

I think this professor is a great teacher. His assignments are easy. All you do in his class is write little short essays, then do peer response, fix your mistakes and turn it in. Very easy teacher. He understands your situation and is willing to sit down and talk to you about your writing. I'm looking forward to taking more classes with him.

Not a bad course. You really think about yourself as a writer. He's willing to meet with you about your work, so you really have no excuse for failure. He gets into the grammar a bit, but in a good way.

He's very smart, but also reasonable and helpful. You'll learn plenty. I agree with the previous reviewer that Analysis of Modern English is better (I took History and Development, too).

Extremely flexible and throughly knowledgeable. Take Analysis instead of History of English Lit if possible. It's a LOT more interesting and the work load is doable.
