Comment:
I had Professor McMillin several years back for Medieval Literature. What was expected was the boring course marital, but what was unexpected was McMillin's passion for the source material. Stay on her good side by attending and asking for help when needed, and you'll pass. But if you skip often, or don't do the assignments, watch out.

Good prof; helpful. Amusing and straightforward class. Effort is required for this course. Read thoroughly for quizzes, she likes details. I only noticed harsh, meticulous grading on the presentations. If grades are a concern, take advantage of the document assignment rewrites and try not to forget about the electronic discussions...like I did =/

I took her Middle Ages class, and it was the Dark Ages! She only taught 3 classes the whole semester, and the rest were up to 1.5 hour student group presentations and movies. Her ideas did offer some interesting thought, but the class lacked anything fun to learn or anything to learn at all.

Not the most enigmatic teacher, but not bad. Some of her assignments seemed like busy work. Too many pop quizzes and about trivial things. Hard to pass them, even when you were prepared. The group-work in her class really helped me make friends as a freshman, though.

This course really sucks, I really don't care for those medieval freaks. This Prof is hopeless, makes the class really boring, should just stick to her day-job.

The material is easy but her grading is very subjective and she expects a lot for an intro history course.

I am an alumni now, but I recall having her for a history class some 4 years back. She was really bad then, many of us just grinned and put up with it - surprising how she got to become topdog now.

I had medieval Europe with her...a nice lady. Be on time and talk a little bit in class. Intense papers...so watch out.
