I truly am so grateful I got to learn under Professor Siegel. He is so passionate about addiction & you can see his expertise within his lectures & the supplementary material he chooses. Heavy workload! But easily one of the smartest professors & most fascinating classes I've had the pleasure of taking. Be timely with work and u can get an A.

He is the meanest, worst, most arrogant professor I've ever had. He is the harshest grader, he expects essays on blackboard posts and takes points off if not submitted early. He will not help you/respond to emails. His comments on papers are so critical they are borderline mean. Don't expect to pass without working the hardest you ever worked.

This class is HARD. There is a lot of reading , weekly participation and 2 papers due in a 10 week span. That being said, it is incredibly interesting. Prof. Siegel is a hard grader, he really challenges your thinking , but he is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Everything he expect is outlined. You have to work for it, but it's so worth it.

Do not take classes with Prof. Siegel. I was very excited to learn about the topic. He shut down my paper idea immediately and made me feel stupid. He requires essays for discussion board posts and will dock points depending on when you pass it in (before its due). Hes rude, condescending, and unaware his students have lives outside of school.

I'd seen the negative reviews but took a chance since I thought an online course may mean he would be a better. I was wrong. He is arrogant and gives a lot of reading each week. Things that would be minor in other classes, he is picky on. He was the most unpleasant professor I've interacted with and doesn't seem to care that you have other classes

He's the worst. He's seriously so mean to students. I emailed him like first week of class something about an assignment and I STILL to this day have yet to hear back about it. When I emailed him at other times, he would reply in a very rude, snobby, sassy manner. He made me feel stupid. He always made me redo stuff because it wasn't good enough.

This was the best classes that I have taken. This professor is fully engaged, clear, fair, & direct. Participation in this class has rewarded me with not only a new knowledge of addiction (minus my previous biases) but has caused me to think & want to know more about human behavior. A must for PSYCH majors in my opinion. Loved to hate this clas

We had one paper, which he graded wicked hard. We have so many in class assignment but if he didn't think they were satisfactory than he made us redo them. He was very nit-picky.

All I can say is TOUGH. He is very finicky about the final paper assignment. The quizzes are pretty easy if you study the learning objectives. Case studies typically need to be done over and over again for an 'Satisfactory.' If you're looking for an easy A, this guy isn't for you.

Do not take this professors classes. He grades the final term paper like you are going in to be a professional researcher, and the final is lengthy and covers all of what he blabbers on about during the whole semester. He is very rude and unaware of the student health needs. I asked to use the restroom during our exam and he denied me. Youre warned

Prof. Siegel is boring and expects much more from us than he should. He covers his textbook well, but the case studies and term paper are basically an afterthought that count for most of your final grade. I've almost fallen asleep in every single lecture. He'd be a great online prof, but don't take his class in person.

His lectures are so boring and he barely covers what he wants you to explain in your case studies. There are quizzes every class so you can't miss it. His final paper is long but he breaks it down. He's just a tough grader and boring. He talks the entire time so prepare to just sit there and listen to him rant.

This professor is an advisor and has been nothing but rue, condescending and arrogant. I avoid any classes he teaches based on my previous interactions. My interactions have been all to make sure the classes I am taking are correct. The University really needs to look at how he approaches STUDENTS!

One of the better online professors I've had. He's course materials were really clear and he structured the class well. He is a tough grader on posts, but I feel like this helped me learn a lot. I'd recommend him for sure.

Great Professor! Not such an interesting class but very he is very helpful and if you try you will pass. Their also is not to much homework so it a perfect class to take while having a job. Prof. Siegel may come off condescending, but once you realize he's trying, albeit unsuccessfully, to be funny, he's a bit easier to tolerate. He's a tough grader, but he offers a ton of opportunities for extra credit. His expectations are crystal clear, and the feedback he gives on discussions, presentations, and papers are always helpful.
