Explanation is difficult to understand and a very tough grader. His class has 2 exams, 1 presentation, and a final. His quizzes and exams are slightly worded differently and can throw you off in the exam.

Prof. Kim is actually a really good professor. With online classes it's been really hard to really learn material, but he makes it easy to follow along in his class. He goes step by step in class, and he genuinely wants students to understand the material. His quizzes are just like the in class examples and his exams are just like the quizzes.

At the beginning of the semester, I thought this guy was hilarious. Then I realized he's just a d*ck. He makes fun of students who ask him questions and then doesn't even answer the questions after. He also barely even speaks English so his tests/quizzes don't even make any sense. For the love of god, please don't take his class.

His quizzes is a different from what he teaches bc he adds in more stuff we never learned from him. Classes moved online and he made a 3 member project to a one person project and added a business plan project. He acts like we have more time since it's online. He is making things harder than it needs to be. He is nice, but doesnt know how to teach

His teaching sucks. Quiz is different from what he teaches you in class, like he never showed us how to convert the foreign currency & he puts it in the quiz & none of us gets it. Since class moved online, he added more work in. We use to have a group project, now it's individual & it's a lot, min 40 slides. Then he added a business plan project!!

Attendance is not mandatory if everyone shows up you all get extra credit. He is a fun, funny guy, and there is no BS in class. He teaches what you'll need for the exam and almost to a fault, leaves a lot of conceptual stuff on the table for you to figure out yourself. First exam was half concept half math, next 2 where all math. Final is rough.

This class was pretty alright. You don't have to buy a book- everything is based on his lectures. He teaches you how to do things exactly how they'll be on quizzes & tests. The final is intimidating because it is incredibly long and encompasses everything from the semester. Overall, he's an alright professor and I enjoyed his stories & explanations

His explanation is not clear enough and hard to follow but you can visit his office during the office hour. There are 3 exams, 3 quizes, 1 group presentaion and the final. You better visit his office to check your ppt before the presentation. Final exam is tough and you have to use full 3 hours.

He has lots of real life experience on International Business, which makes the class pretty enjoyable. 3 exams & 1 presentation. The last one was kinda tough but pretty much everything on the exams are from the lecture or slides. Go to class, take notes (!!!), invest 20-30 minutes before quiz, 1.5 hour before exams (1 &2) than you'll be fine...!!

Horrible grader. No partial credit and he says he scales yet he doesn't. 3 exams, 3 quizzes, and 1 presentation. Nothing easy about this class. He throws all curve balls, everything is different from test. I believe most ppl in my class ended up with c or lower.

He is the first horrible pro. that i ever meet in Umass Lowell. 3 quizzes, 3 exam, 1 presentation, 1 summary. It sounds easy. But Please dont be FOOL. He is the toughest grader. No partial credit, 0 or 10. He makes fun at student as they are donkeys. Teaching methods are so terrible. I repent when i pick his class. Hoping the school has more choice

Professor Kim tries to be funny to get the classes attention, I don't think he realizes they're laughing more at him than with him. His tests are really hard and his quizzes are pretty much passfail since they're only 5 questions. I struggled throughout the whole class and had more than a couple students withdraw from my class during the semester.

Class is very good, he is very funny and teaches well. You may have to work a bit to understand the material; that is just the nature of international finance because there is two sides to everything. You can easily do a problem exactly the opposite way it needs to be done. However, he explains it decently well.

Professor Kim is a really funny guy. He doesn't like class to be too dull, and he has a very humorous side to him. The class material is difficult. His notes can be helpful, but practicing the problems through Excel will help you more. Do any extra credit he assigns, and discuss your country presentation with him prior to show. Study the quizes.

He is a really sucky grader and doesn't teach anything. You don't need the book. If you want to do well in this class, make sure you were born in another country. Thats the easiest way to do well

Interesting teaching style, and class is a party with coffee and doughnuts. He will go over anything that you have questions with and is very clear on the concepts. Quizzes and tests are tricky and you need to know your**** to do well on them. The class may seem hard at times but he is a great teacher.
