Really helpful professor, tries to give useful feedback that will hopefully make you a better writer. Her directions can sometimes be unclear, but dont be afraid to clarify anything with her. Super passionate about what she teaches and its clear that she genuinely cares about each student. Just complete the required papers and youll pass!!

I've taken Dr. Miller's courses twice, and I would take her again if I needed another English class. She makes the material very interesting. You will learn a lot from her. She's also quite understanding: one time I completely forgot about an assignment but she gave me full credit anyway. Yeah, there's lots of reading and papers, but it's English!

Terrific professor--great communications--so understanding. She recognizes that not all writers possess the same skill-level and voice, and respectfully encourages each student to focus on improving his or her craft without the crushing discouragement of comparisons to others. I learned so many great techniques in this class. Highly recommended!

Honestly one of the best teachers I've had so far. She is kind, extremely funny, and she keeps the class interesting. If you do the readings and do the assignments you should be fine for the quizzes and the midterm. Would recommend!

The best professor I've had. Extremely intelligent, but down to earth and relatable. She's a lot of fun, and really good at getting students to participate (big % of grade). Be prepared to do a lot of reading, and make sure you actually DO THE DAILY RESPONSES. It may seem like she's forgotten them, but she does keep track. 3 Essays, Midterm, Final.

If you don't like her, you have no soul. She's probably my favorite professor--she's incredibly nice, and loves teaching. She's just really busy because she teaches and is the English department head. She can sometimes be a bit scattered, but it's far more endearing than annoying, and she does know what she teaches well, so don't let that fool you.

I take back my previous comment after attending the class for a few more weeks. Seems she is a very busy mother of young children too and I know motherhood is a full time job in itself! Plus she actually is a good professor just a different style than what I am used to but I like her.

I had her for Selected Authors and I LOVED her. She is very enthusiastic about the material and it makes you much more interested in it. Also, she is very laid back and funny. There's a decent amount of work, but if you don't do it she doesn't get upset, although it does get factored into your grade. I highly recommend her. She's wonderful.

Marlow was really down to earth. She is very open minded and concerned with the big picture, doesn't give trivial quizzes or busy work. The tutoring seminar was extremely helpful and a refreshing way to earn credits. Having her as a teacher was a great experience. TAKE A CLASS WITH HER!!!
