RUN!!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. He goes on random rants. Writes random words on the board. HATES HIGH TECHNOLOGY. Always going off topic. Expects you to read like it's your job. Gives hot girls special treatment. Dresses from the seventies. 100 Question Exams. Here's the kicker. 60 questions will be on review. 40 are suprise.

Salisbury is the man! He may come off a little strong but it's only because he wants all of his students to be respectful and do well. His tests are short but fairly difficult so reading the textbook is recommended, but he does give out a study guide for each one which is helpful. He is always willing to help out his students, go to his office hrs

One of the worst professors at Oswego! Makes you read everyday for the tests in which some of the questions are not lecture or book related. Gets mad at his students for no reason besides talking, texting, eating, drinking, etc. Nice person outside of class and during office hours, but office hours didn't help at all. STAY AWAY FROM HIM!

Basically he makes you buy a very expensive textbook and if you don't read from it every night you won't pass the class because his lectures are jumbled and he rants about history more than he teaches. He doesn't let you participate and seems to constantly be angry and frustrated with his students.

Great professor but requires your undivided attention and will not tolerate any less. This means no texting, talking, eating, etc. You will need to read and you will need to study in order to do well. He gives you a study guide for each exam with 80 of the test material on it the rest is up to you to know.

Salisbury's a great professor! Very helpful! A lot of movies, especially during summer sessions. He lectures, but makes the classroom an exciting place. Read the books for multiple choice quizzes, and with the help of the study guides you'll get, it'll be fine. All the naysayers probably couldn't bear putting away their cellphones during class.

People that complain about him, you guys were just lazy and didn't care about his class. If you go to his office hours and seek for help he will help you out. Just pay attention in his class and he will like you and know that you care. Gotta study hard though since his tests are extremely specific.

I failed his class the first time and then retook it and after midterms I'm still almost failing. He gives you study guides then doesn't put any of it on the test. His fuse is almost nonexistent and he will go off on your class when no one has even done anything wrong. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HIM. He's different outside of class, but still awful.

His class can be tough but he is fair, if you seek him out and show that you care he will take time out of his day to help you. But if you want to stay on his good side don't text in class.

Okay, yes this class is hard and Salisbury might seem like a nasty guy, but really it's just the way he teaches his class. 1on1 he may be the nicest guy you'll ever meet and he's always willing to help. Pay attention in class and READ the textbook. I learned that the hard way.

Salisbury is really not as bad as everyone makes him seem. Tests are very specific - if you don't read the textbook, you probably won't pass. He is a prime example of old school. He is very hot-headed; pay attention and be respectful and you won't have any problems.

DO NOT TAKE ANY OF MR.SALISBURY CLASSES! He is not a good teacher! He writes down nothing on the whiteboard/chalkboard relevant to what notes you need to know for his tests. He will freak out on you for yawning, eating, drinking anything but water, and cellphone use is class. Also, no laptops or tablets (No "High technology" in his words permitted

He's horrible. He teaches out of order and goes off on random tangents about things not relevant to the course or subject. He hates cell phones, conversations, yawning, and looking at other books. If he catches you doing any of these, he'll flip out and act extremely condescendingly. He's not helpful and he is very rude. Don't take this class!!

Tests every week on each book chapter. Gives out study guides for the tests, but there are always questions on the test on topics that aren't on the study guide. Will yell at you in front of the whole class if you use your phone (and takes points off your grade.) Not allowed to eat in class. Knows what he's talking about but isn't that helpful.

By far the worst professor ive ever had. He is insane. He will literally scream at everyone in class for 20-30 minutes at a time bout how stupid and lazy our generation is. I honestly have no idea how he has a job teaching. He looks miserable if you ask him a question and then answers your question condescendingly.
