You really need to be specific with your answers & have them EXACTLY like he showed you in class. The real kicker here is that the exams are graded by him & recitation prof. You get 2 pages graded by the rec & its all ok, looks fairly graded. But the pages HE grades? You get points taken off for the smallest mistakes its ridiculous. Don't take him!

Cannot teach, his thick accent only makes things worse. He tries to be funny at times, he is nice, but he isn't a good professor. Attendance not mandatory, but if u do go then sit in the front because his handwriting is AWFUL. Its basically all chicken scratch. He is a very picky and tough grader. Try to avoid this professor!

Prof Mao is amazing! He really is fair and kind. He doesn't take attendance for lectures but there is a quiz every week during recitation. His class is a breeze but be ready for a lot of homework!

Not good. 2-3 connect HW per week. Weekly quiz in recitation. 2 Exams and 1 Final. If you fail first 2 exams you can still pass with a C (60%) if you get a 70 on the final. Sounds easy but he takes off points for the smallest mistakes on his exams. You really have to be on point with your answers..

Ok just save urself the trouble of taking this guy. I had to self teach myself the material 85% of the time because he cannot explain things well. He writes all over the whiteboard. it ends up looking messy & disorganized-handwriting sucks. Sit in the front otherwise you will screw urself over if u sit in the back. Youtube will be ur Best friend :/

He was very clear when explaining things and would go over things multiple times to be clear. he gives you a C if you get a 60. You can skip class and just show up to recitation, the quizzes are easy. The midterm and final samples emulate the actual midterm and final.

He has a slight accent so it's good to sit in the front. His class is easy, only 2 exams and 1 final. His reviews are exactly like the exam and final. Good at lecturing and anything you don't understand is cleared up in recitation. As long as you do the homework, do the reviews, go to recitation, you'll get an A. Quizzes are so easy too.

The practice midterms and final are almost the same thing as the real ones. If you can do the practice exams, the real ones will be a piece of cake.

Easy class if you are proficient in the subject. If you fall behind, it can be very difficult to catch up. There is a quiz every week. He has an accent, but is still understandable. Help is there if you ask.

Okay, so if you have a background with calc, you're perfect. If not, concepts might be difficult to understand. However, recitation will clear things up for you. Quiz every recitation, which is normal in most classes. Has an accent, but it's bearable (and quite funny, might I add). Overall, easy class, exams are great and partial credit is given!

Class is pretty boring, its better if you go to majority of the classes because you always learn something new. Exams are simple, final exam you are allowed a cheat sheet. Its not the best class, but its tolerable at best

I recommend Mao because he curves and he is very understanding since Math is not for everyone. Go with him and make sure to have a calculator, A Graphing Calculator at all cost if you have him for Calc.

He really wants you to pass Math no matter what. He gives you practice problems that would be on the test and exam. He is NOT a bad professor at all,in fact he is very kind and understanding. He does have an accent, but you can still understand him. The course is really easy if you pay attention, you can loose focus easily in his class. Recommended

A little bit of a language barrier, but still not too hard to comprehend. Do the homework, pay attention in the class, and a guranteed A. P.S. he also gives a big curve at the end of the semester
