Do every single extra credit opportunity. He is extremely kind in offering a safety net for you, especially if you struggle on an exam. He is really smart, and he may seem intimidating because he is so knowledgable, but he wants you to do well! The concepts were not easy for me, and labs took forever, so ask the TA for help when needed.

If you took phys c AP in high school, its an easy A course. If not, you might have to teach yourself a lot.. Has clicker quizzes so should go to class (extra credit for perfect attendance). And the workload is heavy: lots of quizzes, labs, hw, etc. Pretty nice curve (at least in my opinion) and very generous amount of extra credit opportunities.

The class was okay for being online, you basically have to teach yourself all the material though. Theres a ton of homework but this is good in some ways since the exams are not weighted as much in the final grade. But overall hes pretty helpful and provides soo much extra credit

Professor Lee has no business teaching intro courses. He seems like he knows his stuff, but is a terrible teacher.

If you've never taken a physics class before this professor is not for you! He is often impolite to students who ask questions and doesn't actually lecture or teach during class time -- just gives iClicker quizzes. Perhaps his scale up method is better in person, but for online instruction it's really bad. Be prepared to teach yourself.

Lee really loves physics and made class interesting and entertaining. Expect to put in a lot of time and effort doing homework every week. Even though there was a heavy workload and exams were long, he gave tons of extra credit that boosted grades significantly. Responded quickly to emails and is a nice guy (even gave out cookies after the final!)

Really great teacher. Just a lot of material. Do all the extra credit and the assignments and you should do just fine. He gave reasonable exams and participation matters. Really shouldn't be a bad class if you stay on top of the work!

Lectures are clear, but tests are horrible if you're not fast at doing the problems! I'm pretty good at physics but there were way too many problems for the 2 hour exam length. Grade is also too dependent on who's in your group. Better than Peng though...

Prof. Lee is a very demanding professor (effort-wise) but the class is pretty much failproof so it balances out. I spent more time doing the online homework than anything else so be prepared to be in front of a computer screen for hours. I did not like the teaching style of the "scale up" method, but being in a group of smart kids helped alot.

I had him last semester and I complained that he didn't do much in class. But this semester after I have another guy, I realized how good he is. He grading is REALLY fair, he gave 40percent more extra credit in hw. exams are all multiple choices and true or false. Trust me take him and avoid Igor Str...

Professor Lee is probably the best teacher to have for University Physics. His grading system is more based on homework rather than exams. The homework provides an opportunity for INCREDIBLE extra credit. His exams are very fair, but make sure you study. He also gives extra credit for attending all of the lectures.

About as good a professor your going to get for physics. The class is hard because physics is hard and the teacher is pretty good about helping you understand the material. The grading is set up so that you can do bad on the tests and still get a B, just make sure you do the homework and all the small grades and you will do fine

Good teacher and makes class fun - as much fun as physics can be, anyway. There is a good deal of work and the tests are hard, but your grade depends on how much effort you put in and as long as you do all the work you are pretty much guaranteed at least a B. Lee also gives far more interesting and useful lectures than Opper.

I never liked his CAPA. Why did he created a stupid way to take a quiz anyway? Why can't he just simply give papers quiz?

Good teacher. He makes it almost impossible to fail, however, you have to work hard to get a good grade. Also, he's not very understanding of individual cir****stances.

Lee grew on me. He is good at physics but he can't teach at all. The tests are hard, but not bad if you do all of the homework and study the respondex/in class problems. There is a ton of extra credit available - do it when you can - you'll need it. If you can, take Opper instead. If you can't, Lee is frustrating but not too terrible.

Physics is hard, no matter what prof. Lee does not make it easy. It is very hard to follow his lecture style and there is a lot of work, but he does make his class fail proof which is greatly apprciated. He give a lot of work which sucks, but also means that there is less of your grade dependant on the tests.

Awful prof. Spoke in phrases, not sentences. Completely inflexible. I surgery during the class and he would not give me extension on homework because "the internet is everywhere." It did not matter that I could not sit upright or think straight because I was on narcotics. Dropped the class and took it over with Zheng who is 10000X better.
