He will not spoon feed the information to you, you will need to read and keep current on the assigned material. However he will be your biggest advocate if you communicate clearly with him and well before things go way off track. Beware of his sense of humor.

Bill is one of the best professors at USM. His test are difficult in the sense that they're extremely literal but if you prove to him that you are dedicated and passionate he is more than willing to cut you a break on a bad grade. The only people who give Bill a bad review are the people who don't study.

You can tell he knows what he's talking about. There were 2 tests when I took the class, and the TA was super helpful in figuring out what to study. There's reading for every class, and it's recommended that you do it in order to participate in discussionsanswer extra credit opportunities.

He's a great guy and you can tell he loves his work. Doesn't care if you show up to class, text, eat, or anything. The only thing he won't allow is talking to your neighbors. All of his notes are online, and there are 3 tests. No homework assignments, and so long as your TA knows what they're doing you'll do well on tests.

I had Gayton for Psychopathology. He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject. The course work consisted of several chapters of reading from the textbook in addition to internet readings. There were 2 exams and a number of opportunities for extra credit. The only downside of the class was that there were only 2 grades.

I had gayton for psy102 and psychopathology. If you care about the class and care about your progress, you will succeed. He is open about not taking care of you, you are the only one in control of your progress. He is the funniest most easy going professor i have had at usm, if you get the change, take a class with him!

Gayton cares about your progress as long as you care about it. He does answer questions in a way some may find antagonistic. But that's not at the way he intends it. He just gets fired up talking about this stuff, because it's his whole life. Don't take it too seriously!

Gayton is a really funny guy. He's easy to listen to, and he's very knowledgeable in psych. He may seem like he doesn't care about student progress, but as long as you show a genuine interest in doing well he will be very helpful. He really cares as long as you care. I'm excited to be taking another class with him in the Fall.

He may have a dry sense of humor, but he makes the material entertaining. He does not care if you show up for class, eat in class, text or even sleep as long as you don't distract him. This class provided me with a baseline of knowledge and vocabulary which has helped me immensely in upper level psychology classes.

This class is a cake walk. Gayton is a jerk to say the least. He is rude and needs an attitude adjustment. Asking questions irritates him, and he doesnt like you he will ake you aware. Attend the stidy sessions and you'll pass. Lectures are irrelevant, and he doesnt go with the book.

Gayton knows what hes talking about but I just couldnt follow him. Class was not very helpful because he talked the whole time and what he talks about is not exactly important for exams which are 100% of your grade. He swears a lot and i just would have preferred a different professor.

I think he's great. He's interesting and funny, and his lectures are worth attending. I kept hearing about how hard the tests were, but if you use the book website (which he provides with the class notes)it really helps.

102/233 - Gayton is an awesome professor. He know A LOT about his subject especially in 233. His lectures are interesting and funny. I wish he would teach every class. He is my absolute favorite. Great guy outside the classroom too! If you don't like how he only does tests.... get over it... this is college, you should suck it up.
