Comment:
Prof Ackerman gives an EXCESSIVE amount of work. The homework will be 10 questions but each of the ten has 5 questions within. And each of the five questions within requires you to list and explain NUMBER of things. SO, by the time you write the answers to questions one and two, you've really answered 10 questions and have two pages of work.

Like many said self-centered, won't take blame even when he goofs assignment info on syllabus, will not offer meaningful help only quick responses that patronize you, don't even trust he knows how to format a paper himself, questionable background and experience, questionable knowledge on certain parts of CJ at least , get out while you can

Dr. George Ackerman is a lously professor. He is self-centered, arrogant, and provides assignment due dates during national holidays. He spends a huge fraction of his time boasting about being an Attorney, FBI Agent, Coast Guard, and having a PhD. I would strongly discourage anyone from taking his class.

He was a very good teacher who didn't waste time answering your question, getting your grades back to you, and posting helpful information. He made a pretty boring topic more interesting and helped us relate to criminal justice when you wouldn't think you could.
