Do not take this class he doesnt respond to emails really hard test and short time 4 exams with honorlock 80% of your grade no extra credit , he doesnt give you study guides no lecture nothing Avoid taking him I have to study morning and night so I could barely have a B- (80%) almost C dont ruin your GPA

Don't do it! You have weekly 50 question quizzes and 4 exams with honorlock. Quizzes are 20% of the grade, exams are 80%. You are allowed to use one notecard on the exam. Don't bother emailing him, not helpful at all. You will either read the textbook and teach yourself or use quizlet and hope for the best.

I thought this professor was going to be great given the reviews here but boy was I wrong. His online class for Microeconomics was the worst. No lectures, no study guide, the grading criteria is ridiculous. Save yourself from this professor honestly, I don't understand how schools can hire someone who's not involved in their class whatsoever. AVOID

DO NOT take this class online!!! Do not listen to the good reviews I was fooled by them. You will regret it!! He doesn't teach, no lectures!! you are completely on your own. Grades based on 20% HW 80% exam, All exams honorlock and you have to pay for each exam you take, and he gives no exam review either. HW is a 50 question quiz each time.

This was a really good online course. The course is straightforward and easy to follow. Aside from the weekly homework assignments, he gives 3 exams and a final. The hw helps you to prep for exams. The course was very straightforward, the prof responds quickly and is very accessible if you need help. I enjoyed the course and recommend him.

Great prof. Hes a real gem, especially for online classes. Gives weekly homework assignments for each chapter, which prepare you for the exams. Gives 4 exams based on weekly homework/quiz. Hes a fair grader. Gave a really nice curve at the end. Surprisingly, my grade went from a C+ to a B at the end. Helpful and accessible. Excellent.

This professor instead of giving us a class about Economics, spends have of the class talking about his political preference and why the Florida government is so bad. Also, he is always saying how bad FIU Directors are. I am here to learn Economics, not about his personal opinion about everything.

Professor Lopez-Calleja is honestly a great teacher; don't listen to the other individuals rating him poorly. COVD has put a strain on teachers and has confused everyone. I had him for a fully online class that was supposed to be in person but he really teaches and cares for his students. The lectures are a must and so is work but he is knowledgeab

This prof is a really good teacher. The material is slightly challenging but nothing extremely difficult. Gives weekly homework and quizzes, as well as 3 exams. Grading is quite generous and hes always willing to answer your questions. Allows use of note card on exams. Very accessible and flexible. Definitely a good class

He is a fantastic instructor. The work is very reasonable - weekly quizzes and four exams. The assignments in the syllabus are clearly laid out. He responds very quickly to messages. Quizzes are not hard; you just have to read the book. His tests are not easy but doable, you will need to study for it. He curves and I ended up with a B+. Great!

Lopez is awesome. Hes very caring, helpful and flexible. He communicates with students and responds the same day. I think he had a hard time adapting to remote learning, but he really tried. Your grade is based on weekly quizzes and four exams, and he gives a nice curve. He lets you use a note card on exams. Must take!

Prof. Calleja has been very flexible, especially during the pandemic. Theres lots of homework but he gave us review materials for the 2nd and 3rd exam, which helped a lot. The syllabus is clear and well organized and you cant go wrong if you do the hw. Gives two hours for each exam and curves. Its at least a B if you do the work. Great class

Even with COVID this class was very interesting. Gives frequent quizzes which forced me to do the homework along the way and helps you keep up. Gives three exams which were pretty fair and tied together all our topics. He responds to his online messages daily and is accessible. This is the third class Ive taken with this professor and hes great.

He doesnt teach. Doesnt care to teach. Doesnt care about his students. Did not grade a single assignment himself, his exams were full of inconsistencies and errors. Didnt even know the class was online until the end of the first week of school. Forces students to use honorlock yet refuses to record his lectures for his safety.

PLEASE! Dont take this professor. He is disorganized, his tests are full of errors, hes rude and inaccessible, and he Doesnt care to teach. If you like learning hes not the guy for you . He leaves all the professor work to his TA and collects paychecks

Insane workload, very difficult to reach. Refuses to clarify exam material until night before. 16 Chapters of material, all self-taught. Really makes me question why I'm paying for classes and trying my hardest if the professor can't even be bothered to put out a lecture. Actually teaches in ECO 3223, take him for that. Nothing else if possible.

Unnecessarily difficult class. A lot of information to process and memorize, with little indication of what will be on exams and quizzes. Exams are insanely long, eg. 80 questions, and don't follow the information in the text, eg. you gotta figure out how to derive one metric from data with no prior practice. No lectures in online course! Hard pass

Dude is very intense, material was hard with very little resources other than self-taught textbooks. The kicker is how tough the class is made. The homeworks take hours to complete and they're graded very intensely, similar to a written exam. The "short essay" is supposed to be 8-10 pages long. Intense expectations, limited resources.
