Comment:
This teacher, if you wish to call him that is terrible. He should not even be teaching, if anyone learns anything from his class, they should count themselves lucky. The class is online and you receive no help from him and the test are about a hundred questions. The projects you spend most of your time on gets ripped apart and points deducted!

I'm actually coming back to review this course 6 years after I dropped it. I've had to tutor two friends taking Web Dev because Allan is no help at all. I had him for both HTML and SQL. He seems to actively want to make you hate the course material. He's one of the reasons I dropped out of college. I had to learn both HTML and SQL on my own.

Horrible. I can't put into words how horrible. Computer brain with no social skills or cues. Condescending, rude, adds extra unforeseen work when he feels like it. Don't contact him with a question, use classmates instead. RUDE.

"Database Chapter 1 Assignments - Disappointing Results I struggled in grading many of the submissions as they did not address the specific questions asked. The majority of you have already taken Technical Writing with an average grade of B+ (yes, I went in and checked this out in Banner). Did you forget everything you learned in that class?"

Okay, this course is not impossible to pass. There's extra credit, and the assignments are pretty straightforward. But he definitely doesn't come off as "friendly" in his communication with his students. Toward the end of the semester, he accidentally forwarded a private message to EVERYONE about a classmate's failing grade. Freakin' yikes.

Downright WORST teacher at Three Rivers. How is he still teaching there? Not sure. Disrespectful. Grades like a complete idiot. Will take off more than half the points if you miss one thing, word, or make a slight error. His teaching is terrible. Takes points off for spelling etc, yet he can never spell anything right himself. AWFUL. DO NOT TAKE!!!

I don't believe Professor Anderson wants his students to pass. I've had nothing but conflict with him since day 1. He relies heavily on a computer-grading system, which flags a lot of errors, and if you're like me, you'll be writing long emails to advocate for your points. The workload was absurd, and he does not allow you to manage your own time

All the comments about his unwillingness to teach his students is correct! He could care less about helping his students and makes you feel horrible for asking him a question about an assignment. This man should not be teaching, obviously not his calling. Take the class with another professor.

Maybe he knows his subject but the man doesn't know a thing about TEACHING. All the other negative reviews are true! Run fast.

Super easy as long as you do all the homework and follow the directions step-by-step. He encourages discussion boards for help with questions from other students. It definitely helps if you are already familiar with Microsoft office since he doesn't really explain how to use it, you just follow along with the book work.

Prepare to feel bad about yourself when you receive a reply from a question you ask him. Terrible to communicate with, horrible grammar and organization in correspondences, and is very mean. He just doesn't care and he'd rather make you feel worthless. Worst teacher I've ever had. The school should do something about him. Incapable "teacher."

Instructor will degrade you in a half page email if you need to ask him a question. He wants nothing to do with his students, you are to only ask questions to other students through the discussion board. NEVER EMAIL HIM YOU WILL BE REPRIMANDED AND BELITTLED!! NO JOKE!Syllabus is from the prior semester with wrong dates. TRCC did nothing!

the guy teaches from power point, he lives in new york and only shows up for class 10 minutes prior, has hardly any office hours and if he has to meet with you he is visibly annoyed that he is not on his way home...he is basically teaching as a secondary paycheck ( or health benefits) because he retired from ibm...

Very analytical. If you do not follow directions to a tee, you will lose a points. And I mean to a tee. If you even email him, unless it is an emergency, he will rip a new one and make you feel lower than pink slime. You can feel his passion for teaching. Hope you can read the sarcastic tone.

Fairly easy to pass with if you follow the book. He's very book-reliant for almost the entire class, however the book itself is a cakewalk to follow through, telling you the syntax step by step. He's the only Web Dev teacher here so your stuck with him either way.

Tests are right out of questions that are in the text. All you need to do is answer the chapter questions and then study only the questions and answers to pass the tests.
