Comment:
Hudak was a very interesting man. He really wants his students to participate and he spent much of class time with having students in break out groups. The break out groups wouldn't really talk so it was a waste of time, but all of the quizzes he had were easy and the answers were found on quizlet. He really encourages critical thinking.

Only 75% of the exam questions will be from the practice exam. You have to read the textbook for the rest. Didnt learn anything but i got an A by doing 3 extra credits. Make sure you do them. Nice guy though.

He uses study tool straight from the textbook except the exams have nothing to do with the textbook. He offers no other study materials, he has no lectures (class time is spent on nonsense) and he has no power points. The practice tests on blackboard are sometimes the exact exam but don't count on it. Don't buy the textbook. Don't take this Prof.

The most boring prodessor Ive ever had. Good guy, but he madenit a struggle to come to class. Most of the tests are posted as study guides, not all that hard. Feel like ive barely learned anything, but hes an ok person. Take if you just want credits.

Really nice guy who wants you to pass. Gives easy exams based heavily off of the study guide. Requires moderate reading to write short essay questions (1 paragraph) on tests. Very laidback class, an easy choice if you need an honors requirement.

This class was pretty boring, but not difficult. There was a lot of group work in the class. Whenever there was a quiz, most of the questions would be in the practice quiz. He says there is a textbook needed, but DO NOT BUY IT! You will not use it. The final is not cumulative. The class was boring but an easy A.

Terrible professor. He comes in at least 15 min late every class. His testes aren't too hard, but reading is definitely required! Lots and lots of reading. He won't go over the material in class at all, if anything you come in and should expect group discussion every class. Doesn't help that class discussion won't help in studying.

His classes were based on lectures and we got into groups at least once a week. No tests, 3 papers. Show up and its an easy A. Takes attendance daily. Horrible grader, you will not know what your grade is till the very end of the semester. he doesn't use blackboard for grades at all and he doesn't respond to emails.

Took his class in the Fall of 2015. Reads off PowerPoint Slides & sometimes goes off topic. At least once a week he'll put you into assigned groups where you'll later present to the classroom. His assignments are easy & based off of the reading material. The quizzes & exams are easy as well. Just do the readings & you'll pass. Has a sense of humor

Took this class bc everyone said it was wicked easy bc he posts the tests on blackboard the night before. He did that for the first test than changed the second, so did pretty bad on that. Studied for the third so it would happen again and still didnt help The syllabus has a bunch of assignments you never do and you're always in the dark w/ grades.

Get someone to sign you in for attendance. His tests are nearly identical to the review he sends out the night before. Easy A. Don't buy textbook.

good guy, will get off track immediately and often. a bit dry. after a few minutes of lecturing you will go to group projects which are fine and actually kinda fun. practice tests on blackboard are test questions verbatim. 2-3 textbooks. lots of reading. just get it done immediately and you'll be set. final is not cumulative. recommended for ss req

Hudak is one of the nicest professors I've had, but for Sociology 101 I would not recommend unless you're ok with long, boring, unengaging lectures. He is an easy grader, so it's an easy A, but the class is just so boring. Don't take unless you have to!!!

Comment:
Prof. Hudak is an extremely nice guy. He lectures for a few minutes and then the class does group work the rest of the time and that's how each class went. He gives a practice test which is the exact same thing as the in class test. I did not really learn anything, he expects you to read everything on your own and does not really go over it.

I took this class as a general education course. I did not enjoy the class at all. Attendance counts but you don't learn much. There are multiple papers in the class but he never grades them even if you ask multiple times. I would not recommend taking this class unless you have to.

Professor Hudak is a nice guy, but not the best teacher. He passes around an attendance sheet every class so its your choice if you wanna show up or not. No test just papers, only bad thing is he never grades them on time or tells you your grade, even after the semester was over I still don't know what I got on them. Take only if necessary.

Comment:
I liked having Professor Hudak as a professor, but speaking candidly, his sociology class wasn't at all engaging. The lectures and class discussions and work aren't necessary to passing. If you do the readings, you could pass without attending the class. He does grade attendance however.
