I didn't learn anything from him in this class and had to go to Youtube & Khan Academy to learn the material. I really wished he would have used a Elmo or projector of some kind and actually shown us the math of how to do everything rather than relying primarily on Excel or he could have even shown khan academy videos to teach how to do the math be

There are some small group excel projects that are more tiresome than anything. We have homework but it's not too bad. Sporadically uses TopHat, but when he does it's for attendance and a ton of participation questions. Lectures are pretty boring. Midterms are not open note, but you can take the optional final to replace your grade for one of them.

He's an ok person, like he can be nice but he laughed when he sent me a file for a presentation and it had a virus and made my brand new 2020 mac crash. He SUCKS at teaching and he constantly interrupts students during presentations. His exams are ok but he constantly changes the dates for them or schedules them outside of class. Don't take him!!!

Most of the class is confusing especially if you don't understand stats. He provides lots of extra credit like in 261. Lots of homework but its online, same with the quizzes. The group projects are the worst. You are allowed to use a 8.5x11 sheet of paper for the midterms.

He gives a lot of extra credit. He posts the powerpoints, hw n quizzes r online. He has extra class sessions to help u out if needed, super nice. The homework and quiz isn't too bad its similar to the examples on class worksheets. The group projects r unnecessary but u have the option to do them alone. Its using basis excel funcs w/ data

Dr. Hastings is a pretty cool guy. The class is super chill and majority is online. I never really went to class and still got an A. Pretty much open book exams/quizzes. A lot of extra and group projects to boost grade. Good class if you can teach yourself and keep up with due dates.

Dr. Hastings is a really nice guy, but he doesn't know how to teach. Lectures often consisted of him seeming unsure about what he was teaching, which made it difficult to learn. I found I was better off teaching myself. DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.

Professor Hastings cares about his students and offers his students many opportunities to better their grade and knowledge of the course. this class was something i did not mind waking up at the crack of dawn for. you solely get out of this class what you put in.

He is a dry teacher teaching a dry subject. A 7:30am class that's optional leads to not showing up, and for a good reason. I felt like I could learn more teaching myself than from him. I also stopped by his office for extra help on an assignment, and it seemed like he was more annoyed than anything else because I didn't give him notice, which I did

This professor took the class during wintermester and had no idea what statistics was about. He went based solely off what his professor during wintermester said and did not bother to teach a majority of the information on tests. Tests were very difficult. Hardly any homework. DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR STATISTICS.

Nice guy and smart, but does not know how to teach. There was no TA for assistance and his office hours were one hour before class on T,R. Tests were unclear, and it was hard to understand what he was asking. Grading was fair, but I felt I did not get anything out of this class. Avoid this class unless you want to be stressed the whole semester.
